Sounds like a good idea. My dentist doesn't even bother with root canals. He makes it a point to refer patients to a specialist in such matters. Of course, I wasn't wanting to spend a lot of money on root canals, so I've been going to the University of Louisville's dental school. They're pretty cheap.
You know, I have a horrible dental record. Over the years, I've had more than 10 fillings, 6 root canals, and 2 crowns, and I need 4-5 more. To make things worse, I broke a tooth on a piece of candy last night. The entire filling came out, in several pieces. So now, the gum area is exposed, root canal plugs and all. Infection seems imminent if I don't get it looked into soon. I'm going to be paying for all of this for years to come, I can tell.
