Anti-science? Sorry to tell you but you are wrong. You can ask any anthropologist, biologist and genealogist and they tell you what I've told you. Being an anthropology major I've learned the matters of "race" over the past few years, so I have experience in the field.

I'll let you in on something; race is a biological myth, a cultural construction. Race various from culture to culture. Here in America we base it on skin color. Skin tone is nothing more than a physical adaptation to the angle of the sunlight. The melanocytes in our skin angle themselves to protect the body from ultraviolet radiation. The closer you are to the poles the lighter you skin tone will be. The closer to the equator you are the darker you skin tone will be. If someone from the equator were to move closer to the pulls, after several generations the descendants will start to show signs of adapting to the new angle and vice versa. It’s no different than the strength of the lungs compared to the altitude you live in.

So no, "race" has nothing to do with any of that.

This was bound to happen eventually. With the cases that have been coming up and no clear answers to them someone was going to get this idea in their head.

With Sony's pulling The Interview due to threats could this potentially open the door to limiting freedom of speech when it comes to the film industry? Should Sony have just gone ahead and shown the movie or were they in the right to cancel the film. Just where do we draw the line between standing up to threats and backing down.

Cuba embargo endding Posted 2 weeks ago in Politics

It would appear that the US and Cuba will be improving relations with one another. So after decades the embargo on Cuba will be lifted. Really what has it ever done? This could actually help Cuba's conditions improve.

Another funny thing is that none of us ever claimed that government was pure. We just don't jump to conclusions.

*facepalm* You just don't get it do. You need evidence for your claims. The UN would not do an investigagtion until you do no matter how many people you got to sign a petition.

Otherwise we should just take it up the ass by the biggest gorilla in the room right.

And here lies the problem. You are so paranoid of government lies that you think they lie all the time. So no matter what anyone says your mind won't change. Even if the UN did an investigation and proved the official report to be correct you would just go straight back to saying it’s a lie.

You missed my point entirely. YOU are the one making an accusation. YOU are the one required to show evidence of why your accusation is correct. If you want some third party investigation you are the one required to give reason, and the only way for you to get that is to provide evidence against the official report. Until then your accusations means nothing.

leanlifter1 or you have to do is provide one piece of credible evidence, just one, then we have something that can be debated, until your do all of you claims mean nothing.

You got any evidence to back that claim up, until you do your accusation means nothing.

You are "forced" to pay for a reason. You get a ticket means you did something wrong and there are consequences for that.

There's a problem though. Where do they get the funding? I don't think they can survive on issuing fines and charging a service fee per visit alone.

There is also the fact that people will have no obligation to pay fees issued by private police and have no obligation to listen to them either.

Something like this should be a chargeable offence. Citizens can't just put a bounty on someone because they think they committed a crime, especially asking for the relatives.

Define natural. Because homosexuality has been observed in the animal kingdom. Homosexuality has been studied and seen as not something someone chooses to be. And from knowing someone who is homosexual they have stated that they have never been interested in women. So I ask again, define natural.

This is not a good reason to deny marriage to same-sex couples. Not everyone follows the Abrahamic god and unions between two (or more) people have been around long before any of the major religions of today. There are cultures that actually practice unions between people of the same-sex such as some Native American and African tribes. This is in large part as due to some cultures having more then two genders (note that someone's gender is different from someone's sex). So the argument that marriage is traditionally only between men and women is a fallacy as there are different traditions around the world.
