I can't play battlefield 3 because my computer is basically under powered. So that sucks. Also i really want to play Star Wars The Old Republic, but my computer doesn't run it and I can't pay the monthly subscription so that sucks too.
Well depends on what you're going to use it for. If it's for gaming go with an i5 or i7. If it's for office, an i3 should be enough. If you're on a low budget, the AMD Processors should suffice for gaming and office together. Although if you want real performance for gaming, try getting an i5, it practically beats the Phenom Six Core On AMD.
I've already posted on this thread and recommended the games that are worth buying this holiday. This is my personal list of what i'm aiming to buy this christmas on sale.
Assassin's Creed Revelations
Been waiting for this game to come out for some time now. Wanna know how the series ends with ezio and Altair.
Batman Arkham City
Of course i've been pumped for this game. The first game, Arkham Asylum ruined some of the experience for me since there was a flying bug that prevented me to continue the game. It was frustrating, hope there's no flying bugs with this one or i'll just rage quit on these games.
As for what i'm gonna be playing come this holiday season, i think i'll sink my teeth in Skyrim and once i get my new PC by next week, i'll play Battlefield 3 on Ultra to be amazed and maybe a little modern warfare for the sake of running around and be an idiot with a gun.
It would be stupid to attack the USA. Obama would cap Russia in seconds. He's just badass.
If this really happens, then at least all those hours on fallout 3 and New Vegas wouldn't be wasted.

Game of the Year
Skyrim, seriously this game has to be played by every human being.
It's an instant jackpot for me if she's hot, beautiful, intelligent and the most important part. Loves Playing Video Games. In other words, she has to be a hot gamer. I can tolerate if she's not a gamer though.
Starcraft 2
Although the game is a year old, if you like RTS this game is an absolute gem. I'm glad i bought this game when I did. I only have a couple of friends that play SC2 from time to time, but this game has a great single player experience and the feeling you get from multiplayer is amazing.
Battlefield 3
This game is just full of pure epicness. One of the most anticipated game this year, this game is a must have for Team Tactical FPS Shooters. But as i just said, this game is more aimed for those guys that like to play in a team. Sure you can go rampage in a tank blowing shit up, but when playing in a team based match, this game has it all. Single player experience isn't that bad either.
Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3
There's so many haters on this game this year that i was surprised at the amount of hate this game was receiving this year. From my experience, i only played somewhat 4 hours from the single player experience and I absouletly love it. It truly gives you an amazing single player experience. Multiplayer is also addictive, making you to just want to go back and play some more to unlock some more stuff. Survival is also amazing, it's more amazing when you play it with a close friend of yours. It's just epic.
Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
This game is an amazing RPG experience all together. It really sucks you in the game, making you unable to stop playing. The storyline is interesting and the gameplay is not bad. The combat system is similiar to that used in Fallout 3, but then again, that's what made fallout 3 such a great game.
RAGE
Played borderlands? Can't wait for borderlands 2? Delve into RAGE, the almost equivalent of borderlands. Rage is a similar game to borderlands minus the leveling system. It's a game that has great visuals and sounds and an interesting storyline. I haven't finished it yet but i'll get around to playing it maybe sometime this holiday season.
I bought both. Battlefield 3 is a team game, if you like to play in a team based FPS and not go and shoot around, get it. Get Modern Warfare 3 if you like running around and spraying bullets in your enemies. I consider both great games and that i have made a good investment in both. Personally COD has more addictive multiplayer than battlefield 3. So if you're going to buy one of them, you're definitely not going to go wrong with either.
Well since i got the game let me point out some interesting points on my opinion.
I've played the single player campaign for about 2 hours till now, it's amazing. The Single player experience is truly a gem. I haven't touched multiplayer but i'm getting itchy fingers to just click on the multiplayer icon. Sure battlefield 3 is an amazing game, but why do you hate when you can just shut up and enjoy what developers have created for us? Two amazing games that will surely be played for years to come.

Consoles Owned: SNES (Both versions PAL And NTSC and they're still working :D), PS1, PS2, PS3. Never had an xbox in my life. And a Wii. Never had an xbox in my life. I'm more of a sony and nintendo type of guy.
Currently i'm not doing any online gaming. Single Player experience FTW. Also, i'm currently playing battlefield 3, still playing fallout 3 for old times sake and of course going to pick up modern warfare 3 in 2 days.

Wow, i'm glad i bought my 2 TB hard drive a month ago. Otherwise i would have to wait until prices drop again. Pretty crazy stuff. Of course this does give you the chance to think about buying solid state drives now since hard drives' prices have soared high.

If you don't like it, don't buy it. Simple. There are changes in the combat for Modern Warfare 3. Sure, it's a recap from MW2 but strike packages and leveling your weapon and new maps are something that i'm personally excited for. Also i like the fact that they didn't change the graphics. I bought BF3 and i'm running it on every setting set to low. It's not ugly but having maxed out graphics automatically improves your playing experience. On the Modern Warfare 3 side, it's the same graphics from modern warfare 2. I could max out modern warfare 2 and play it on decent graphics, which i think i could also max out modern warfare 3 and play it easily.
Sure it's almost the same old game but you're not forced to buy the game, it's your decision and if you don't want to buy it then just don't. I'm tired of people saying that battlefield 3 is better than call of duty and such arguments. If you don't want to buy the games then don't. Personally i have yet to see how battlefield 3 is better than call of duty, BF3 is a different style of play than call of duty. Call of duty is like having some fun for like 2 hours or such.
