...metal...

meh

usually when I listen to metal all I hear is heavy distortion and slight pitch changes

so whatever you guys are playing there is no point playing anything 'hard' because people can't tell the difference

like this one local band I saw play, I heard distortion the entire time and then the 'singer' screamed the whole time, I don't think he sang a single note. also they had some weird 'stage tactics'; they whipped around a lot and just a ton of thrashing...

so in other words they sucked, but they had a cool name - "the bacon"

Posted: 03/31/05 02:11 AM

Forum: Flash

Im using scroll panes to scroll through text on my band's web page and i cant figure out how to get rid of the border

I was thinking there might be another way to do it using the UI scroll bar component and action scripting that would get rid of that border but i have no idea how to write the programming that would go with it

im using the scroll pane component which links to another flash file that has the 'news' in it currently

shrap·nel:
-Fragments from an exploded artillery shell, mine, or bomb.
-A 19th-century artillery shell containing metal balls, designed to explode in the air above enemy troops.
-The metal balls in such a weapon.

I was surprised to find shrapnel actually means something, I saw the word shrapnel in a sentence in a subprofile and I was like, "whoa, I didnt know shrapnel actually meant something... thats crazy..." And I immediately thought of NewGrounds, my former home (don't think I have posted in about 3 months... w00t!)

It really has been a long time, I just found out a couple of min ago that the home page format changed again, looks good. I also just found out that -poxpower- is now a mod. congradulations Pox.

For those of you who don't know me, don't worry about it, I probably wont be visiting often.

For those of you who do, Hello, how are you this fine day?

I think that's all I have to say...

Yup...

BTW, are you guys still doing the mandatory sig thing? It's just that most of the members don't have the special symbol in their sigs.

i think me and avie are the only ones that still have that in the sig, and it looks like BWS has it in there too

so thats a no

Topic: Strictly hypothetical girl question

Posted: 02/21/04 11:01 AM

i personally think it is a bit wrong to go too far under your age in high school. once you get older it doesnt make as much of a difference, but i think that dating freshman should be sophomores. Maybe i just have a midset that freshman are immature and young or something. but i have a friend who is a junior who dated a freshman who is another of my friends for a couple of months. i think he has a thing for girls younger than him (i also know he likes to have power over others so thats probably why he dates younger girls) recently he has been thinking about dating/fucking other freshman girls

i think i have thing for girls younger than me too though, because all of my friends that are girls, and both of the girlfriends i have had this (school) year have been freshman (im a sophomore)

but getting to the point, i think any seniors dating are most likely just looking to get in their pants, weather they are ready for it or not. there are some exceptions, but i think during high school thats too far down to go

I also know a sophomore who has had a series of girlfriends who are like 12, thats just wrong, they are in like 6-7th grade. I don't know how far he is getting with them, but he is kinda a loser so i think thats why he is dating younger so he can have an easier chance to get some

ok i think i'm done talking now
