The idea being to press stop on your browser (next to refresh) and see what it stopped on.

Try taking photos of piles of everyday object... get some root veg drop in a heap or pose them, take a photo of them then use the shapes they make as the outline of your landscape. I have used this many time when stuck for a non-eart background. The idea is the more random the shapes the better it will look.
Best to start by thinking where your Bg is... what sort of rocks, smooth, rough or even crystal... plants? there, not there, brord leaf, narrow. Don't get bogged down though as only the Bg and you don't want peole looking more at that than what is going on infront of it.

This is a waste, I've been searching for a good one for 2 hours now.
I fear it is much the same as the one you have but I have used it and got it to work well...

Anyone know how to fix this?
Check your "Character Palette"
Choose Window > Character, or click the Character palette tab.
You get this... play with settings

Needs Cleaning...
You haven't said if you want to colour this on a computer in something like photoshop or buy hand...
A great image but first things first. You need to work out what lines you are working with (lot going on in there) I did try tweeking to see if I could without having to go over them but just too much noise in the image. If you still have the hard copy better to ink on there and scan if notyou will have to do it on the computer. As you can see I droped the image down a bit so only the heavy lines could be seen. With a trusty tab I then work out what lines are the most needed and go over them. At this point you can also fix some of the probs in the line are i.e. I can see the top of the bulky gentleman's sword hilt but not the top of his hand (in red) looks an odd way to hold a blade and I was not 100% sure about how his other arm was working.
To colour this image I stick with a few colours too many too play with too much to go wrong. Set yourself 5 main colours and work off them.
Work out the most used colour in the image and flood the area you are working, things happen a lot more quickly if you are not looking at lots of white.
If you are using something like photoshop use the burn and dodge tools for highlights and shade but make this the last thing you do after blocking in colour.
Work in layers and AVOID the fill tool at all cost. Paint under the layers of line work.
Save often...
A very good tut I liked and have used is.
I Can't Believe The Amount Of Art Theft Going On!!!
At first I thought "Ooooo art portal that's cool" somewhere for me to drop of yet more doodles but oh was I wrong. Most of it is just kids ripping off stuff from the net, especially in the 3D Art portal. Or better still yet another sonic drawing done with a half run out sharpie held in foot and *scanned* with use of a 2Mp cam-phone.
As for having categories lol stuff is just going in here there and everywhere, half assed pencil sketch in 3D and such.
The whole art thing was a poorly conceived idea the amount of moderation alone must be a nightmare (unless art theft and spamming is just going to be allowed). Much as it is nice to have somewhere to post, this sort of headache should be left to dA.
