I think that might be a mod for gmod.
It's actually a feature on the gmod update to the Source 2007 engine, you need Gmod 10 (or 11 as most people call it) crank the shader detail to high and the shadows to high. Now use your flashlight or the lamp tool and point it at a prop or anything really and it'll give off a shadow. You need a shader 2.0 or higher graphics card to use this feature and it can be pretty laggy if you have an older computer.

That would require editing of the engine which might be hard. What I might end up doing is using a completely different engine with all the big rigs models, textures, tracks, and so-fourth so it still feels like big rigs but plays way better.
Build it on the Source engine.
Do it.
Meh, I find the Source Engine rather mediocre, especially when it comes to vehicles.
Yeah, the vehicle segments in Half Life 2 always seemed awkward to me, but I assumed that was just poor implementation, not the engine itself.
But it does open up decent lighting and physics opportunities, as well as having a large base of users who own at least one game running on it, so that Fixed Big Rigs could be released as a mod that could be installed alongside an existing Source game. Not sure of the legality of that, though porting a game to a different engine would probably count as altering it enough to avoid copyright infringement.
Maybe somehow I can create a big rigs racing gamemode for garry's mod, convert the tracks to .bsp and hex the trucks adding them to gmod, it would be fun and alot of people do play garry's mod and I think they would enjoy the gamemode.

Well since I can open the big rigs .sco model files now I can make them solid and actually give them collision.
Well, that is and isn't what I meant. I meant is there anyway to fix it so the cars aren't pinned the to the ground the entire time?

FINALLY! I found an .sco exporter that lets me convert the big rig .sco's into .mdl which I can open in 3ds, then re-convert it back to .sco. Epic win is soon coming

Hey guys, maybe we can organize an Newgrounds Garry's Mod server party or something. Where all the artists in this thread can gather for some building/destruction/faceposing fun.
This just popped out of my head, i dunno if there is already something like that, but iam sure i wanna join you guys then.
Thanks for stealing my idea that I posted like 2 pages back
Hey guys, just a little post to keep this shit alive. Still working on the project just have been doing shit in life. Just a little fun thing the dumbasses who made Big Rigs left the PSD to the you're winner trophy so I made this :3
I hate mine AFTER the redesign, my username back in 2004 was -Link- which was cool and after the redesign I got like random numbers after my name or some shit

Linux is too complex for anyone who doesnt know a programming language.
Some distros of linux are VERY easy to learn, Ubuntu and Kubuntu are pretty easy and have nice user-friendly interfaces. I've had Ubuntu for about 2 months and I already know how to do a shit load of shit.
Well to change a theme on vista you'd need something called VistaGlazz, you can google that. It patches your theme file in your system32 and lets you use themes. After that you restart your PC, download any theme you want and put it in the recources/themes folder. Then after that go in your theme properties and enjoy.
