Hey, thanks for the help so far, I'll post up an update in a little while with some modifications & take on board what you think.

Any more suggestions would be great, i mean do you think the links can be improved? and how about the colours you would suggest skaijo? & by erratic denvish do you mean jittery? Thanks again

butterfly effect Posted May 21st, 2006 in Game Development

Hi all, I've just been making a new website for my mates band and was trying hard to make a butterfly animation. People are splite 50:50 on whether its realistic or poorly done. Could anyone lend a hand with improving it with some suggestions & on anything else that could be done here? Thanks.

This is the site's address: Mary's Garden

There are two butterflys btw for those that miss it ;)

Hi, I'm making a movie right now hoping to incorporate a button under which a line extends when 'on' but can't figure how to make this animation reverse, possibly with less frames (ie. faster) on moving off the button without accessing. The action performed is on(release){gotoAndStop(2);} as you'd guess to start the movie.

I've got a movie inside the 'over' section of the button, do i need a movie for another part of the button or does this involve something else? Thanks

That's martial arts, not American.

Americans do everything with guns and in the name of the Lord.

It seems I'm finally lightening up here.. thanks for that ;)

It's all commercial stuff at the end of the day, the japs probably want to look crazy but come off as good business men. If they can sell you stuff they'll do it. It just seems a little stupid they can throw any old crap at you and you'll buy into it.

Then again back in the day i bought some DBZ trading cards and some front mission game which i don't think came out here and actually felt happy it wasn't released here, in terms of the music.. no excuses!!

Before I chill out it seems my issue right now ain't what you love about the japanese culture but why everyone here blasts the blacks, spaniards, jewish, mexicans or whoever else they can come across. Surely the flash on this site would be many degrees higher had we absorbed a little of the culture [Before you ask.. no fuckin chance I'll absorb some j-pop, i've done enough].

Response to: how many people HATE these games? Posted May 2nd, 2006 in General

I get ya, ' the maze' i saw so many vid of people shitting themselves that I had to get it and tell everyone that came over i'd made it myself and they had to try. You have to try to stop laughing at the third level though except everyone always messes up the third level time and time again :)

Response to: How do you live with yourselves? Posted May 2nd, 2006 in General

Quite easily, what exactly are you trynta get at there?
Like in a schizo way?
Like if I didn't have a woman I would like to watch the porn i like instead of her censoring to girls that look like her?

Response to: Kingdom Hearts 3 Posted May 2nd, 2006 in General

I actually raised in my seat to check out that vid only to think that theres a funky smell coming from nice realistic knights with stupid comedy enlarged keys. I've never attempted attacking anyone with a key but i'll take the american approach here "Anything could be a weapon" when are these freaks gonna stop messin with heads.. a key? At least one of them was a little embarrassed and pretended it wasn't a key by soldering a bit of a gargoyle to it.

And then on submission there's the name issue. I could try my hand at it but if I can't find it on here!!?

OZ flash Posted May 2nd, 2006 in General

Look peeps, due to the search being a bit crap on this site (couldn't even name this thread OZ) I just cant find any movies (1 letter short). Do they exist? I mean a short on OZ would be sweet!

Nothing much really, the secrets are all wank from what i've seen and here u just get a little too much vg banter such as how tesuo yamaha-mitzubishi had a fluent conversation with me coz i played dae gaza meto-melley 4: part VII, you know that one made by square that was only released within a radius of a mile in japan because of its association with capcom who make 'amazing' mega-rock-male games :s u get the point. Besides princess potatoe is my role-model for a girl freind and you're wrong j-pop isnt just the backstreet boys in a different language.

It's almost summer, do something!!

Hi, I'm trying to convert the image on the left to the one on the right possibly in a swirly-esque(?) way to illusion the sun setting but have no idea of effects and tools for the job.

This is a part of my new flash movie and tbh it'd look shit without this section so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Response to: Any Tips On Quitting Smoking? Posted January 22nd, 2006 in General

It's possibly the hardest addiction to beat, I've known people to quit for years and still crave a cig. If your young then just do it once your in its hard to get out. I've tried to quit 4 times this week and am just about to light up.

Hope this song helps you quit ;)

you want to know hip-hop congrats you arent close-minded to 1 style of music
like i by my myself listen to other tipes of music like classic jazz when i sleep

but if you want to listen to hip-hop i recomend you start with

Rum Dmc- jam masta jay
Rum dmc- mary mary
Public enemy-bring the noise...(the version that aint whit the antrax)
Slick Rick-chidren story
Snoop dogg-drop it like its hot

and pleeeese dont listen to things that suck like

G-unit (buch of faggotz)
eminen (dont sing worth for SHIT)
AND THAT KIND OF PEOPLE

'AND THAT KIND OF PEOPLE'? Wouldn't that include snoop who sucks ass too and has done since his second album. Drop it like its hot has a catchy chorus i'll give you that but seriously why place it next to slick rick, thats blasphemy if i've ever seen it.

The whole puck rockers point is quite useless too I mean most current punk rock stems from rap and hip hop just take a look at henry rollins, and what more evidence do you need than one of the ramones making his own (shit) rap cd's.
Punk and rap go hand in hand its just most people try to cover them as wjite/black only genres which is laughable. I'd gladly make a perfect mix cd with eazy-e, millencolin, the dead kennedys and dead prez sharing the same space.

On a side note you should check a little punk yourself try jawbreaker - dear you (album)!

Response to: Origin behind today's hate groups? Posted January 22nd, 2006 in Politics

I personally believe all hate groups are started by a person with a massive influence on the community who has most likely earned trust in a group only to deceive them for their own self centred plans.

At a younger age, if my mum had left the house my dad would say the joke over and over again that she'd ran off with the black man. Still to this day I've had a fairly deeply hidden almost instinctual race preference which I'm almost certain is linked with this joke from my early childhood. Of course my two closest freinds right now are from south africa and have their own instinctual stigmas which I'd rather not disclose but feel most hatred from groups come from a family bond whether blood or a circle of freinds willing to name themselves a 'family'.

In many cases I'd prefer to take the notion like the italian mafia (most probably stereotypes but what do i know) that hate is left at the door and only an indication that a family unit is willing to do almost anything to keep its bondings.

I'd like to label myself as not being a racist but acknowledge that when I was younger and less wise I'm sure there were periods.

Okay, time to head back to the general forum and talk crap.. :)

Response to: hip-hop is great 50 cent isnt Posted January 22nd, 2006 in General

Okay, lets get something straight here, 50 cent and the next of kin are'nt favourable to me, sure I'll hear everyone play them and act so so ghetto but in truth rap music has a heavy load of diamonds and jewels (pardon the pun) in its suitcase.

Just check out a couple of these albums and you'll see what I mean:
-Bone Thugs~n~Harmony: East 1999
This album makes mansons ventures into the darkside look weak!
-Notorious B.I.G: Ready to die
The perfect rap cd, this album would even be great as a book of poetry.

Rap is pretty generic but classics come every now and then, I'm personally listening to the kings of leon and the vandals right now but I'm not gonna hate rap and hip hop, and if a single one of you is gonna argue that hip hop isn't real music then I'd suggest you tell people that linkin park is 'real' music.. what the fuck is it with 'bands' like that anyhow, did they release a song with justin timberlake yet or is it still in the works?

Nice video, I thought it supported pretty much all of its arguaments, then again some of the opposition to these arguaments were some overexagerating yanks anyhow so there wasn't too much to prove. I got the impression of this when I first saw the crash it's just that everyone was so surprised they didn't question it.

Anyways, got another 40 mins to watch of it, pretty lengthy for a streaming video, got any streaming movie links?
