Humanity fucking sucks
I'm inclined to agree with you, ASmallOstrich.
Xenomit, far too often, your posts exude an air of bitchiness and irritating arrogance. We don't really give a damn about your first-world problems and how much you hate humanity and why X people who disagree with you are retarded idiots. Learn to tolerate opinions you don't share and just learn to stop giving so much of a shit about trivial matters like musical taste.
I never really had a problem with Honey Boo Boo and and her family. Their existence is OK by me lol
All I have is a single pipe. It's not much, but it gets the job done when I need to get faded.

*cracks knuckles* you have no idea...
The drug users you know are pretty inconsiderate.
I'll be honest when I say that I partake in drugs every now and then(Well, weed pretty much) and while I or any of my friends would be more than happy to offer some good shit to someone who doesn't normally do drugs, we respect and understand people who don't want to participate in that kind of lifestyle. To each his own.
Actually, I've never really understood or experienced peer pressure to do drugs as it was discussed in school; people offered me weed all of the time and I used to say no; they'd never try to impose on me and were pretty respectful. It sucks that the people you knew were different.

Not at all. There aren't any popularity contests in college. No one cares.
- Will I be surrounded by a bunch of drug-addicted hooligins?
Only if you want to be.
- Are the teachers 'as' merciful as high school ones?
Generally, no. They can be very helpful or very shitty. More often than not, I think, you'll have good professors who care, but you have to be proactive in obtaining their assistance. They won't hold your hand as high school teachers often do.
- How often will I meet new students?
Very often.

If anyone wants me to post a more detailed explanation of my dissatisfaction with Skyrim, I'll be happy to do so.
Skyrim is the definition of unoriginal. It has all of the typical "races" in the game(i.e. orcs, elves, etc.) like every other RPG game out there. It brings nothing new to the table in terms of gameplay.
The conbat system is awful. Granted, I only played as a melee character, but still. There are two basic attacks and only two attacks melee characters can use: normal and power attacks. It just feels like spamming when you fight people in that game. The inventory system is inconvenient and the whole game feels like a mess when you're trying to use potions in the middle of combat. The game pauses for you in order for you to use your potions and stuff. The combat experience just feels so inauthentic. The blocking system is kind of retarded, but it's passable I guess. The most irritating aspect of the combat experience by far that I encountered was when I was attacked by a wolf while riding on a horse I stole from some dude(lol). I didn't know what to do except to get off of the horse(They say there's such a thing as mounted combat, but the game manual never told me about this) and try and fight the wolf. My horse went into full retard mode and started fighting the wolf. I kinda found it amusing and we essentially double-teamed the wolf. The wolf died and then the horse starts fighting me....needless to say, I was very frustrated. I had to run from the horse to get it to stop attacking me, and it did. Then I got back on it and I continued on my way. Fucking irritating experience, let me tell you.
God forbid if you're stopped by a city guard who wants to take you to jail and then you end up killing him, because then you anger his comrades who only want to kill you. I'm not even complaining that they killed me the first time. I am simply perplexed as to why they wouldn't stop killing me. It was as if I became Christopher Dorner in the city of Whiterun. They didn't want to bring me to justice. They wanted to put an arrow through my chest. And they did. lol. It was funny until I found that this turn of events would make it impossible to proceed with one's main quest, so I had to load the game at a time before I made the foolish decision of being ballsy and killing the Whiterun guard who stopped me. All in all, it was a pain in the ass to deal with that.
There's millions of side quests that are the definition of boring/predictable/unoriginal. You go rescue someone or retrieve something for someone else in some sketchy dungeon filled with draugrs and bandits. Pretty cool! </sarcasm> You can't even avoid some of these quests; they're just assigned to you from drive-by NPCs. It's like the game had some vested interest in throwing quests at you. They could've at least made the quests fun. I don't know.
The story isn't interesting. At all. Although to be fair, it was the first Elder Scrolls game I've bought and played. I'll make sure it'll be my last.
It's a real pain in the ass to need to go to alchemy labs or forges to make cool potions and armor. Sure, you could find your own stuff, but its never as good. But in a game, I don't want to feel like I'm in a job, making new shit to use. That's how I feel when I think of smithing or gathering stuff for alchemy. This is more of a criticism of the RPG genre in general, but I'm disappointed that Skyrim was so unoriginal that it had to incorporate this familiar game characteristic.
I understand that people disagree with me and that's fine. Different strokes for different folks, right? But this game is highly overrated and the reasons I detailed earlier in this post do, in my opinion, justify that claim. If I had logged more than 11 hours in to the game, I probably would've found more flaws. Or perhaps it would've grown on me. I don't know. But I just couldn't bear to keep playing after awhile.
I bought another game now: Street fighter IV: Arcade Edition
I know I'll love it. I played Street Fighter IV before and was hooked. Unfortunately, I never got the chance to buy it until now.
This ought to be fun.
I bought Skyrim recently. Before, I thought it was fun, but overrated. Now, I just can't bring myself to play the game for any reason now. It's annoying. The beautiful environment is great, but it gets old after awhile. I'll never understand why people loved this game so much back in 2011 when it was released.
If anyone wants me to post a more detailed explanation of my dissatisfaction with Skyrim, I'll be happy to do so.
I live in a city where it never snows so this really isn't something I should concern with.

This makes it much harder to take your grievance seriously. You're somewhat inconsistent, too. In one post, you say it doesn't bother you but the mods' lax enforcement of rules, does. In another, you imply that the gimmick account is actually annoying.
There's really no clarity in what you're trying to convey and still haven't given me or presumably anyone else who doesn't already hate supergandhi a reason to give a damn. "Rules are rules!" isn't enough, by the way.

More bitching and whining.
For a guy who claims this doesn't bother him, this seems to really bother you.
As I've said two goddamned times, he doesn't annoy me, he doesn't bother me, it's the fact that he's been around for this long scott-free.
Obviously, it bothers you. Directly or indirectly, it bothers you. Be honest about it or just fuck off.
What's the fucking point of having a rule if you're not going to enforce it.
Why do you care so much about this rule if you say this gimmick account doesn't bother you? I see people breaking the rules all the time on the BBS without the mods punishing them appropriately. Do you see me bitching about the insufficient enforcement of these rules and claiming that I'm not bothered by these users but by the mods' failure to enforce rules that don't mean much to me? No.
I really don't see why this bothers you so much.

The game is fun, but Skyrim is pretty overrated if you ask me.
The melee combat system is extremely simplistic. Granted, I've only played for ~11 hours since I've bought the game several days ago, but so far, it doesn't impress. I might just try and become an archer or a mage in the future.
The quests are interesting, but they don't feel original. Like in many other RPGs(I imagine, anyway), it's about getting something or killing something, or both. This isn't my main gripe with the game, though.

I'm not much of a gamer because I don't play video games often, but I can sympathize with them to some degree. I haven't experienced any glitches yet, but then again, I've bought this game two years after those issues were resolved.
You can argue about how well it compares to other Elder Scrolls games, but I think it's overall still an excellent game in its own right.
I'm a newcomer to the Elder Scrolls series, so I don't really have a frame of reference to which I can compare Skyrim. All I can say is that the game is good, but I have no idea why this game received so much praise. It probably has to due with the exploratory aspect of the game. Admittedly, even on my PC, which is most certainly not designed for gaming, the environment in Skyrim is breathtakingly beautiful. Animals of all kinds are all over the landscape. It feels like you're actually in an authentic forest or snowy mountain or wherever you're exploring. For many gamers, this is what made Skyrim one of the best games of 2011, but for me, it's just a really pretty game with decent, but not great combat systems and quests.
The story line is alright, but it isn't too engaging. I won't hold that against Skyrim and the developers because I'm new to Elder Scrolls. The game play itself is paramount in importance. In that regard, I'd give the game a 7.5/10 or an 8/10. So many people feel like the game deserves a 10/10, but I'll never understand why.
Sorry for the long-winded response.
