The Soldier is almost finished, I just have to polish a few more things and make a few more assets for him then I'll start to bring him to life in flash. Definitely want to have ragdoll physics in the game too so, I don't know if that would get in the way since I only know how to animate using classic tweens.
Ive had this idea for a very long time now, and I've been making alot of art assets for it but I'm looking for some help. I know nothing about script and I'm a decent animator but I might need help with the animations.
Before I continue let me tell you a little something about it, basically its a turn based combat arena type game, just like Worms, but instead of being timed 60 seconds on your turn, you have action points, like you do in fallout 1 and 2. The difference between my game and worms is that my game is pretty realistic. I'll post some pics of what I have so far below so you can get the idea.
I also liked the character customization of the online game Epic Duel, so I really want to the player to be able to customize the characters on their team. Faces, weapons, armor, etc. It's a pretty simple concept, and I still haven't thought about all of the features and stuff. Right now I'm just working on getting the character and the environments out of the way but I'll definitely need help animating and scripting and putting the whole thing together.
I'm at a very, very early stage right now. I am just about to complete the default character armor and I've made a couple buildings and i designed a mock up of what i'd like the games visuals to look like but thats all I got so far. Process is kindof slow right now since Im working on this on my spare time whenever I get the chance. If I choose you to help me create this game, you'll have to be very patient because I'm working pretty slow right now. But it will definitely be worth the wait.
I still don't know about what program I want to use. I can make animations on flash but, this project seems a little to heavy for flash. It seems like it would just be super laggy for most computers with the level of detail I'm working on. I was looking at unity 3D parallaxing videos and I really liked what I saw. I kindof what a similar effect to that, and I dont really know much about game engines and stuff but unity 3d seems like it would be better fit for a game like this. Anyways, I'm really new to this, I've never seriously attempted to create a game before, so It would be cool to work someone who has patience and knows a thing or two about game development.
I'm looking for talented individuals who could help me make my vision a reality. Please PM me if you're interested in working with me on project. :)
Oh I almost forgot, here are some designs I've made so far. These are zoomed out 75%, just to give u an idea of the level of detail im working on here.
Heres the prototype for the soldier. Completely static right now, haven't brought him into flash yet. The AK47 on the soldier I just stole from google images but everything else is 100% original made by me.

Heres a basic mockup of what I'd like it to look like.

Yes, It's Rowf and Snitter! I'm going to add the Tod (the fox) lurking in the background sneaking behind them, or maybe in the foreground I'm not sure yet.
Glad to know I'm not the only one on Newgrounds that knows about the Plague Dogs. :)
Hey guys thanks for the replies, appreciate it.
lovingthedark: The white dog was placed in the middle on purpose but perhaps you are right I will try moving him around, seeing if it helps balance things out. Also the black dog is not finished yet, thats why he still looks kindof sketchy. I havent gotten around to that side of the painting yet. I'm still having trouble with the left side.
As for the tree in the foreground, i'll try making it bigger, closer to the viewer. I'll post up a screenshot to show you once I get around to it.
Anymore critiques guys? I would really appreciate it!!!
Hello ng, long time no post. Been busy with life stuff. I've been working on this piece of ages now and i just can't seem to get it right. I was hoping you guys could help me by critiquing it and give me some pointers. I really need some guidance on this one.

You guys are all so talented. I've really enjoyed looking through this thread. I didn't realize ng had an animation forum so thats pretty kool.

For those of you who didn't know I spilled some water on my tablet and it stopped working on me. It was about 4 -5 years old so it did me good. Anyway, my friend Adam was generous enough to buy me a Wacom Bamboo for $150 and it's so nice to work with. Friends are great. I recommend getting one of these filthy suckers.

I know it breaks my heart
I just have the worst luck. I spilled some water on my tablet now it doesn't seem to work at all. The light still works but it doesn't move the mouse cursor whatsoever. So i'm pretty pissed off, I won't be able to work on anything digitally for a while till I can afford another tablet.
The A-Bot picture was about 60% finished. I'll post what I have anyway.
Let me know what you guys think!!

Thanks alot man. I really try to capture peoples emotion when I draw them. The eyes are important to me, they can tell you alot about what a person is feeling. I checked out your art and youre not so bad yourself!
started this on the bus. inspired by 13 assasins
most are unfinished, theres alot of these i'd like to paint / photoshop.
tricky has such a unique face, i decided to draw him. i might do another.
