No. Everything is buyable. The only thing is that, some emblems and callsign backgrounds aren't unlocked until you reach a certain level, but once you reach said level, all you have to do is buy each item.

Guns are the same. Levels unlock guns, then you buy them. In each gun type (submachine gun, assault rifle, sniper etc...) there's once secret gun that you can't buy or see until you unlock and buy all other guns of that type - But they're not that great either.

The only thing that will set apart noobs from old school players, are that, each time you prestige you get unlock a new callsign, and camoflague.

Hmm...dunno if you guys knew already, I sure as hell didn't, but i just found out, the highest level is 50. That would explain why there's 15 prestiges this time.

I'm level 45.

I don't wanna say to much about Black Ops yet. But guns that were in MW2 now seem better. FAMAS and AK47 are both awesome in this, while in MW2 i didn't really like either.
The new BO guns aren't great though to be honest. And sniping seems alot harder. No one snipes yet. I think in 8 or 9 hours i've played so far, i've only been killed 4 or 5 times by snipers. :x

Should be visiting this place quite often :)

I too liked Quistis. But yeah, her limit was just as bad as Selphies - which was only good when you got aura in the early stages of the game.

Got Adblock, so i don't see it, but I came across that game 6 months or so ago, and saw the SE logo on it, and thought it would be worth a try. I was wrong. Game is boring, horrible and very linear for a MMORPG.

I like her too, and think she made a good lead character, but what you said about being multidimensional might have a bit to do with technology and such too. I mean, with modern day graphics, characters have countless poses, stances, expressions etc.. It's alot easier to portray if someone is happy or sad by just their face - If you know what i mean. 13 years ago it pretty much all text.

If you wanna level up Materia, be sure to use triple growth weapons.

I also think Cid is a badass.

I have nothing against either Terra, or FFVI. I Actually loved the game, and I thought Terra was a pretty cool character. But I just don't she holds any candles to Tifa :P

I wouldn't say she dies that early. I think it's pretty much past halfway point by then.
