Hi guys. I have a sony vaio fz240, with an integrated video card. Now I realise that I shouldn't expect it to perform well gaming wise, but this laptop is just ridiculous. I cannot run WoW without the frame rate lagging, even on the lowest settings. A friend of mine said that my computer simply (for some reason) does not recognize my video card, but I don't think that can possibly be the case. My specs are an inter core duo 2.0 ghz processor and 3 GB of ram, and an integrated intel chipset family graphics card. Does the card really suck so badly or is there something i can do to tweak my laptop's performance gaming wise? Thanks in advance.

Cool, so you have one component upgrade, now just save up for the power supply and then buy the video card... don't do that out of order, because if you have anything less than a 400 W power supply you're not going to like the results.

Hey all. My relentless quest to get myself a new PC continues. I ended up with around 2 gigs of memory an athlon 64X2 dual core 2.2 ghz processor, and a shit nvidia nseries video card that came together with my motherboard. this computer was originally supposed to be for my parents, but i figured fuck it ill trade them my old one. so what im looking for now is a card that does the best game performance for its price, which should be around 100 euro, or somewhere around 130 bucks. if you know of any, dont be shy to post.

thanks, did the same search. the brushes are high res, but once the master diameter is increased, they still look smudged.

I download some kickass brushes, but the problem is that once I increase their master diameter to fit the whole paper, and zoom in to 100% the quality of the brushes becomes awfully grainy and blurred. Is it going to come out the same way in the print out? If yes, does anyone know a place where i could download high quality brushes that can be stretched over an A4 paper in Photoshop? Thanks.

Thanks for all of the feedback. For anyone that is interested the second PC (which is the most expensive one) is about 470 Euro. The first one is about 430 if I'm not mistaking.

They both are dual core, if gaming you mainly use only 1. While running many programs the dual core becomes usefull.

damn i thought gaming favors dual cores....the only difference i can catch is plain hard drive memory difference. the first pc is cheaper and therefore has 255GB while the second has 400GB. one thing that confuses me is whether the second one's processor (Athlon X2 4000+) means that the two processors are 4 ghz each, although i find that hard to believe.

I think both of them have dual cores.

Allright guys so I'm on the verge of buying a new PC, and am stuck in between two different choices. Both PC's seem just as sweet, with a minor price difference. I'm facing a problem having to do with a game I recently installed. Essentially what happened is that i ran it once, it worked fine, and then all of a sudden it crashed. The next time i tried to run it, a message popped up saying "out of range!". This message was not related to the game but to my monintor. I have a Benq FP71G*, which notifies me if theres any problems with the image. I think that the resolution is to blame, since it starts at a ptiful 500*someting...I tried running the game using the same computer but another monitor, and it worked fine. So I'm confused right now, and don't know what to do. I have no choice but to use my Benq, and the game runs fine, according to the sound of it, but there simply is no image. Is there something i can do? Plz help.

So I’m sitting here thinking: Can I do it? I have the ability to but yet can I do it? Can I turn the potential energy of the mind into kinetic? And what’s more important, can I filter out all the bullshit and state exactly, precisely, what occurred to me at 2 am yesterday, and on math class last Friday? Obviously not, because what you have just read is me trying to get to a point that I have not even made for myself.
God I’d love to be a genius. However, what’s the next step? Accomplished geniuses, what do they want to become? Do they even realize the potential of their intellect? And if they don’t, what separates them from us, the common folk? You are probably losing interest in this text right about now, and I’m sure I’ll need to pull something really fancy out of my creative hat in order to keep you paying attention.
