I learned that I am a horrible person.

They weren't even testing for that, but it says it right there.

People that keep mentioning doing nothing but building have obviously never done PVP online. I love playing on a no-rule server where burning another persons house down is encouraged and where you have to make a secret base that's hard to find to store all your crap in.

I don't know how anyone could beat this game in 5 hours unless they knew all the puzzles by heart. The game took me 8.5 hours first time playing through.

Well there were a few genuinely challenging puzzles that got me stuck for a while but I wouldn't say it was REALLY hard. Though saying that I was playing Co-Op last night and I got stuck on this one puzzle with my friend for an hour, we had to stop playing because of how difficult it was to figure out.

Completely new console. Like the N64 to the SNES or the Gamecubes to the N64.

I would clone myself three times. Then I'd be able to play drums, piano, bass and guitar all at the same time.

Response to: Are you happy with your console? Posted April 10th, 2011 in Video Games

I have a PS3, Wii and 360.

I'm gonna be honest when I say that I don't like the 360 at all. I don't want to pay for online and the exclusives are uninteresting to me. The only time I ever use the 360 is when I play Guitar Hero, Rock Band or on the rare occasion that I play Halo even though it bores the hell out of me.

My favourite though is probably the PS3, I'm more than happy with. I love the exclusives it has to offer. Online is probably on par with xBox live. Only missing feature is cross-game chat but I'm always on Skype anyway so it doesn't bug me.

As for the Wii... well it's fine. It's got a lot of good exclusives but I feel that it's time that Nintendo made an upgrade from this thing. It feels incredibly outdated now.

No it wasn't. I'd say it's aged better than quite a lot of the N64 games.

Response to: Games That Don't Exist But You Want Posted March 3rd, 2011 in Video Games

The concept I have in mind is a co-op online horror survival game a bit like Amnesia or Penumbra. The big thing about it would be the voice chat system. The further away from your friend you are, the quieter your friend is to you and vice versa. There would also be a Walkie Talkie that you have to use for sections in which you have to split up. There may also be signal interferences and a battery life on the walkie talkie but batteries could be found scattered around.

There would have to be multiple short 45 minute campaigns in the game like in L4D2 for this to work.

Also the enemy designs would be based off of various Cryptids like the Flatwoods Monster, El Chupacabra or The Grinning Man.

Man I wish I could make that game.

I hear this argument time and time again but you guy seem to have no problem with looking down upon homosexuality even though the only two areas where it states that homosexuality is bad is Leviticus 20:13 and 1 Kings 15:11-12. Both of which are in the old testament.

Response to: Game Graphics bitching Posted February 16th, 2011 in Video Games

I'm sick of realistic graphics personally. It was a novelty when this generation started, but I'm kinda of sick of seeing a colour pallet of grey, brown and green. I'll take a stylised art direction of a realistic art direction any day (games like Epic Yarn, Little Big Planet 2, Wind Waker, Okami and Viva Pinata are good examples of this).

The only exception for this is in a horror game like Amnesia where it has to immerse you in a way that you feel like you're actually in danger.

This. I've been playing FF7 for the first time lately and as good as it is, I can't help but not take the characters seriously at times because they all have fucking shovels for hands. And the whole pre-rendered enviroment thing is awkward as hell to navigate around.

The only other game that came to mind when I saw this thread was Ocarina of Time but then I remember that that's actually happening so I'm gonna go ahead and say that I'd like to see Majora's Mask get the same treatment afterwards.

Majora's Mask is single handedly my second favourite Zelda game just behind Wind Waker, and I think we can all agree that Wind Waker doesn't need a remake anytime soon.

I played the demo. Didn't like it at all. I didn't like both the design and functions of the guns and the whole kill with skill thing seems like a gimmick to me that got old really fast during the demo. I'll pass on this one methinks.

Response to: 3ds or Ngp? Posted February 4th, 2011 in Video Games

While the NGP boats some REALLY impressive specs and features like 3G, dual analogue sticks and bluetooth, there are a few glaring flaws with the NGP for me.

Firstly, as a handheld device it has got to, by rule of thumb, fit in your pocket easily. The analogue sticks pose a problem with this. The entire surface of the system is always exposed and as a result the analogue sticks will make it hard to fit in my pocket.

Another major problem is the positioning of the speakers for me. Who's bright idea was it to put the speakers NEXT to the joystick so that there's a chance to cover up the speakers with your thumb while playing?

My last major gripe with the system is the lack of variety in the games annouced so far. I know this is subject to change as time goes on but all we've heard about is Call of Duty, Killzone, Resistance and Uncharted, Little Big Planet and Monster Hunter Portable 3. So, we have a First Person Shooter, another First Person Shooter, another First Person Shooter, a Third Person Shooter, a Sidescroller and an Action RPG? That's three genres.

There's my rant about the device. Take it with a grain of salt as it's just my opinion.
