It seems to me that, at least with the people I know, that faced with a life threatening situation, they would save themselves over someone else. Is it just me, or is everyone only out for themselves? It seems to me that, underneath all the niceness and the polite thank yous etc, most people don't give a rat's ass about someone else.

And it's not so much the not caring about someone, but the actual thought that one should protect them self over someone else that gets me. That, if they had a gun, and were facing a hostage situation, the person would shoot anyway, or simply run away. Thoughts?

I find if you give someone the same exact situation in religion, with a few word differences, in place of God and some other things, etc, the person does not believe it. When you ask them why, they're never willing to divulge further, the only basis being "Well, I'll be in heaven and you won't." etc etc

Funny thing is, that particular wave of thinking is the exact opposite of what pretty much every religion teaches.

Well I mean it's true what the answering machine is saying, although I don't see anything that all to amazingly spectacular about it. I think in this day and age people are way too over protective of their children. Sometimes you end up with parents trying to pass off a reason as to why children are always out to break rules. Sometimes you get the same thing with people who just aren't as smart as others.

In this day and age every parent wants the best for their children, but people fail to recognize that children are people just like us, and they shouldn't be omniscient to the rules that effect normal, average people.

I hate it when one person tells someone something about another person, and everyone who is told all of a sudden believes random shit without mentioning it to the person who it was told about or inquiring about the reality of the actual statement. I guess in this day and age it's normal to just believe everything about someone, no matter how idiotic and unfounded the actual statement is. Yea, that's some serious bullshit right there.

You could figure out a lot just from some simple tests. As long as you don't clean it, you can probably find a lot of stuff actually on the coin, which would tell you where the coin as been.
