I like NG more because unlike deviantArt, you can get REAL critiques. Here there's the fair share of sugar coating, but at least it's better than having no critiques at all.
The only way you can get in-depth critiques is through premium membership, but that's too stupid.
Why pay for critiques when you can get them for free over here?

On the pc its pefectly fine, but, with creating and watching my animations with this new laptop made me realize what the viewer is actually seeing. Even with quality adjustments from right clicking the video its still slower than i want it to be. This laptop is new by the way, dual core, so it must be even worse for others. Yes it does have a preloader, its not the newest preloader from newgrounds, but its a preloader, and here is the sample i was talking about, my kirby vs zero animation http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/56 7375 I used to break my sprites for characters and backgrounds but now (for characters) i trace them to make them clean when animating. Backgrounds, i now just turn them from like bitmaps to graphic symbols. Thank you guys for helping me. And for the sprite expert if you could pm me that would be a big help.
You must break apart everything.
Tracing actually is more of a CPU hog because it turns bitmap images into vectors, and sprites have lots of anchor points, so if you trace all of them it makes things slower.
Another thing is that I managed to watch most of the last part of your animation just fine, however the start was extremely laggy.
I've noticied you are using quite a good amount of filters in Flash itself. Having them cause a major slow down, especially on big objects (and most of the stuff here was zoomed in so yeah) So I'd recommend getting rid of Flash's filters and applying the stuff you want externally in a image editing program. Honestly, Flash's filters aren't good anyway so it would be a lot better if you applied filters externally.

It was introduced in Flash 4 as far as I remember.
But yeah, it appears automatically when you connect your tablet.
I have quite some experience with sprites so I might be able to help.
What did you make with the sprites after you got them in Flash?
Did you break apart or you traced them?
Hello fellow newgrounders and animators.

Nice project dude.
I'm thinking on starting something like this sooner or later.
Good progress you have been doing as well.

You need to focus more on construction/form, because your art is quite lacking in this area.

This.
Why do people always think that caricature is an excuse for drawing giant noses?
There are some good Wacom tablets with the prices you're looking forward.
I have a cheap one, and it's good (a Genius one), but you'd be better by using a Wacom one anyway.
As for a screen, it's not really necessary. It's a great feature, but you can overcome that easily.
Great art you have here man.
Stylish and very strange but in a good way.
Every one saying that he should get the bigger and better tablets are right.
The dude has quite a good amount of money to spend in a tablet, it's better to buy the best ones than buy a average one and keep buying tablets like someone said earlier.
I say that because my tablet is not even a Wacom one...
Just a laptop, but I got it way earlier.
Nothing else. I don't care anyway as long as I get some money tomorrow.
Anyone made any progress?
Hello guys.
Well since there's still no work for me, I'm just going to give you the awesome news :
I GOT A LAPTOP
YEAH
Now I have a bit more time to do stuff.
...sadly, I don't have anything to do atm...

Good to see that there's some progress.
On a totally related note, last saturday was my bday and I got a few drawing materials.
Yeah, so now I have some good stuff to help me when doing the cutscene sketches.

He already showed some of his work in the topic, I don't think there's a need to PM him.
Also no problem.
Hello again guys.
Well it's nice to see that the back view of the suit has started to be done. I feel that Raz got the back view alright, but to be honest, DW some of your changes (in the helmet) don't really make sense as Raz pointed it out. You made it larger and shorter, which I think that didn't turn out so well.
I'm still waiting for Joe's work so I can start doing some sketches.
Ok I saw it.
What I don't get is how this will work, I mean, Raz work is way different than Joe's.
Well tell me when you finish this, so I can start making the sketches for the cutscene artwork.
