I have an idea. I'm not sure about how it'll go over...

But when I watched the first episode the Pineapple strongly reminded me of the Funzo dolls from the Simpsons. I haven't thought of a definite joke yet, just wanted to run that by you guys to see if you thought it had any potential.

(cos i really dont wanna, but it might end up that way)

Whatever. I mean, I want to give everyone a good amount of time to finish their part so we can get everything looking top notch. But then again, thats not fiar to the people who have already finished their parts. The latest I'm keeping this off the portal is mid-May. So If you can make a part in two months, then by all means, go for it. I hope Spring Break will give everyone an opportunity to do a little work on their parts.

You guys got a lot of bad ones, but then some beautiful parts.
I heard you got a shortage of parts, don't count me in yet, I will work on one and when i post it and you like it, count me in this.

The only reason I haven't booted some of the worst parts is because I don't have that many to begin with. If it comes to a point where I could pick and choose, rather than just stopping submissions, I definitely will.

don't count me in yet
count me in this

so which one is it?

Dasimonster, your part has some good elements. There's some nice fbf in there, I would finish it at a lower quality then you have been doing, and then consider that your rough draft. A lot of the detail and art needs a lot of extra work. You certainly exceeded my expectations though.

Nice choice of music btw

I just wanted to let everyone know I'm not dead. I'm about 60% done with my part. I should get it done by next weekend. Everyone's parts are looking great.

Can't wait til this gets on the portal...

i'm thinking smooth backround, something that looks kinda electronic maybe? like inside a helicopter or something? if you want, i also kinda want a different backround for the classic mode. for that i was thinking just darkness with scrolling green lines? let me know if you want to do that too. thanks.

So you don't want a desert landscape or a sky landscape? My original thought was a dark cloudy sky, with storm clouds and lightning bolts flashing.

Response to: backround artest? Posted March 15th, 2009 in Game Development

I also have a suggestion for the game.

It would make the game a lot cooler, (and I can help code this if your programmer can't figure it out...) If the missiles came at you much faster and more numerously, but you got a weapon to fire at them. It would make the game feel less like a classic avoider with decent art. Its not that hard, and if you pull it off, it would greatly increase the score of the game.

I'd love to join if it hasn't been filled already... Such a great song.

The downfall with having so few parts is that there' s bound to be at least one person who won't follow through.

Yeah, go ahead. I've got a list going of about 25 sign ups verified in the last week, but not very many parts. The main excuse seems to be schoolwork, which I can understand, seeing as that's what I should be doing now...

It's just a really rough animation/storyboard thing. The finished product will be much better and so will the close up of the guy's face. As you can see, mine's a bit longer than other people's.

Wow, that is really cool. I can't wait to see what the finished animation looks like.

Its far from done. I'm gonna have a head, with a bunch of moniters attached everywhere, and then it zooms to a monitor, with what I have right now on it.
