sorry to say but this isnt art... using screen shots of a game which you didnt make isnt going to look good...

(hey guys... look at my screenshot of some other peoples work in a collection)

the mods most likey never replied beacuse it was a very clear that these sorts of "art" are not good...

now if you think that is a cool screen shot im sorry to inform you that its infact a highly poor creation... its not funny or artistic... its a pile of wepons on the floor and very poorly make out some letters and a tree or something...

i would recomend you getting a proper art program and learn how to draw on it before even thinking about the art portal...

i think you should either start with a blank sheet or dont even start... ANYONE can recolour a picture... ad a few things here and there... its not good, its pointless... please use your time to create something instead of posting pictures out of your colouring book... thank you

i hated the fact that you could fall into walls and jump when you didnt want to and not jump when you wanted to... the controls seemed a bit to slow for my liking... also very sensative... oh well done and dusted now... 208 got fixed?... saves me wasting 7 hours... now i wont get it :3

right this drop the bomb is stupid... most of the medals are down to luck!.. how the hell am i going to get these medals if the only way to do it is know how the programing behind the flash works!?... also i got some more glitchy stuff from it as well... not only undefined showing is ugly head now and again... but major mess ups like been able to carry on anwsering questions without any money score to get that 25 in a row *happened once but it was during the sport round and i suck at it still*... the no bombs with 10 spins il try when i get sound and the three bombs in a row il try... but it all seems a be random if you ask me... a game of luck is one thing but a game with luck and medals is another... i could play that game for years and not get any more medals or play for 10 mins and get them all... stupid randomness

The art fourms were a quiet place where artists would come and chat amongst others... after the art portal a huge influx of level 1 - 8 users charge to the art BBS asking the same questions over and over and over again regard less of the rules... its something the new feature is going to do... untill the big "NEW!.. TEH ART PORTAL!" is taken down i cant really see it slowing down any time soon... its new and brings in new people who dont really do flash that much or music but like the odd doodle now and again... the rules should be alot harsher i know but the fact is they are all new and dont understand how to read the big fourm header (READ THIS FIRST U NOOB!)... at the end of the day... its new... its fun and its getting more people to join up and talk about it to people... i dont know really... but we will soon see how this pans out in the near future... :S

merh im giving medal games a break... dont know if i will be in the top 30 next update... i might.. all depends on how i spend my time... after that stupid medal game (you know which one) i lost the will to carry on with the pointless grind... so im going to carry on playing as i did (before medals) so i will be going at a far slower rate... with the new art portal and all its sapping alot of my attention... who knows where il be in the near future :P

not only have you got to look at the art that someone has made... but then judge them to see if..

A. its their art
B. they arnt going to go off on one and scout crap users
C. they arnt going to upload rubbish work

its very hard to judge... i personly wanted a collection of my favourt artists... *vortex00 and Bio-joe* which someone else had... but it seems he must have screwed up somewhere along the lines and now *poof* they were all unscouted... but it seems mindchamber and Captin-Ben got them them first :P...

oh well :3... really need to look at the artists as much as their art in this new system... but i agree... scouted stuff should be front page worthy... and not just (another stat) for people to boast about... its not about how many people you scout... its about the level of work and artistic passion gone into their master piece... i only have two at the moment... i cant see it going anywhere near double figures... most likey 5 will be the max... anway... its still in the early stages and there will most likey be changes... who knows?

ok ok.. check out the walkthroughs in the hints and tips thread in this fourm... but il tell you anway...

to unlock the other medals you need 100 kills *i think or mabey 250*.. basicly get 100 or 250 kills with each wepon (including single and duo wepons)... in the main menu it tells what you have unlocked... unlock all the wepons and die... at the start of the next game you will start with it... ENJOY!

art is a strange and twisted subject... there is no wrong or right anwser... there is no perfect art to say... this is what we want... for example the first one posted (the note pad fire drawing) its in my eyes complete rubbish... where as many others would see it as fantastic artwork they would want on their walls... i see the art portal as a place where i can comment on people art to help them improve while feasting you eyes on some eye candy pictures now and again... also due to the face art is alot harder to track down stolen pictures unless you know where it came from will cause alot of problems... hopefully the system will slow down as the large amount of users find the art portal and submit stuff they have already dies out... who knows :S

true... but take crebx for example... he swamps the flash portal with (action script) flashes and gets a small force to pass them... then changes it to adult content rated with (i hate newgrounds) or words to that effect to get turd of the week... and even on the art portal he is trying to do something similar... iv already flagged it as stolen and rated unfairly... but the thing i dont understand is why he hasnt been removed?... he keeps breaking the rules yet nothing happens... either he is been engored or they see it as pointless to remove him beacuse he will come back... :s

this is one of the things that really gets to me... i see users put but brillant pieces but i know deep down they are stolen... i go check out their user page and they are like 12 to 14, level 2 to 8 and not really done anything for newgrounds... not saying they didnt but you get my drift...

Once caught stealing I think you should be banned from submitting to the art portal for good.

banned isnt going to do anything really... there will be more alt's and they will carry on where the other users account left off... i cant really see a way of stopping it really... they will find holes and work their way into it... i understand about adding the whisle system into it would be a good idea to stop spam whisling... how many mods are currently maintaning the art portal?...

im started to get really peaved off with the amount of pure traced / stolen work getting into the art portal... along with the amount of strong adult martieral still in the (to be scouted) area... i understand its still in a beta stage... but its very hard with art to tell if its them who drew/painted/did it... iv seen alot of users jump at them and scout them just for them to be removed later beacuse someone picks up the picture was done by someone else... prime example is one of the vault boys (level 14 i think) that *a user* put up saying it was his when it was blatenly Luis's work... i think there should be stonger rules for stealers and the like... where as users who were completey oblivious to the fact it didnt belong to them will be warned or something... i dont know... whats your thoughts?

this to... i worked it out while the timer was going down (4 colours, 2 joysticks, 4 back ones, 3 in the middle) thats 13!... pressy.. *BOOM!*... athough after playing it for a while the same questions come up in the same order... so a guide shouldnt be hard... i might make one when i get some free time... bit busy with the art stuff at the moment... :3
