warhammer paints are your best bet... i started my other figure using some...

acrylics are your best bet... you might want to wash the figure to get any dirt/grime/stuff of the surface first thought...

Tips:

Iv been doing stuff like this for over 5-6 years now... unless you have pratice in this sort of stuff try keeping it to a standard you will be able to do... im going to be using "green stuff" for my moddling... its a bit more money then your standard clay... but it air dries and can give a flawless smooth finish... it will most likey not attach its self onto the model so i would recomend modling it onto the model... letting it dry... then if it comes of... super glue it on and either fill in any gaps with the green stuff or if its a tiny rim just fill it with a bit of paint... also i think your starting to remold the whole model Peglay...

like Captain-Ben said... if its your first time... try making it a task thats possible... i wanted to keep it the same as i could but after alot of scribbles i found it rather hard to think of anything without changing the shape slightly... :S...anway... looking forward to see what else im up agaisnt...

Right... after much thought and scribbles... i have come up with this!

its mindchamber all scrunched up in a ball... of course i will need to add a bit of moddling for the smoke out the back *so it blends in with the body* and might raise the head out with some moddling as well... as for the rest i want to keep the model as intact as i can so i dont complete remodel... hopefully this is going to stand out from the rest...

and trust me... i can pull this off :D

at the moment... there really isnt much to work on... all there is is the basics... i have no idea what your planning on doing or what it is for... but a nice simple design layout is always the best bet...

i give up trying to do the 500 rift in POM along with learn all the covers... it cant be done with the ammount of lag im getting... it will freeze for two seconds and my score rating will be in the red... then it will work for about 5 seconds then freeze again... along with the sound cutting out here and there... cant be done on my computer :(...

dont worry... im not going to link the artwork as such... but there will be links to your userpage... beacuse some people might not have the artwork in the artportal... 14 hour lunchbreak is helping me with the AS for that bit... this link will be along side each one of your pictures... i might ad another one which links to the artwork in the art portal as well... depends how simple the coding is for it... shouldnt be to hard... :D

i think 3d art is more scuplting then fine art... you start with a space rather then a blank 2d sheet...

also 3d art can take advantage of skins / textures and effects to make things

you can argue that 2d art on a computer can use similar tools to replcate it... i would rather see some 2d then 3d art any day... :D
