yeah, let me rephrase that, what type of paint did you use / did you do anything to the picture?...
with the line art did you do it free hand or get a large scale image projected onto the canvas to make your base line work?

i'm assuming this hydralisk wasn't done with spray paint like the first one, i know the original picture this was based on VERY well, did you use digital software to make that picture or watercolour/paints/other media...

this is a very good point, maybe if it was (should i buy paints or buy crayons) you might have a better discussion... do you have a drum set?... do you have a tablet?... yes is the answer to both of these... so we go to the next question... which do you need the most to improve what you do?... which one will make the biggest improvement... at the end of the day... its your money, its your choice...
i really love your artwork, it seems to flow so naturally, that's why you got my vote for best artist this year!... keep up the doodling and artwork!... i want to see more!!!...
really like the dog picture :3
i sure hope who ever gets my awesome card is happy...
hand painted for the win :D
So, im getting a new tablet for my birthday * although its getting closer to Christmas now :P*
however... the wacom bamboo medium tablet i was going to get is out of stock from the place he was going to buy it... so he wanted to know if i wanted a different one or to try somewhere else...
i know we have had these sorts of threads before about what's the best one and what not, but my current tablet is tiny, doesn't want to update to windows 7 *so no pressure sensitivity* and it rather worn out now due to the fact i press rather hard without knowing i am any more.
what do you think would be the best choice for someone like myself?...
i do art as a hobby, its a hobby iv done since i can remember picking up a pencil, i am no way an expert or master at using tablets but want to become better... i spent most my digital drawing life using a mouse which sucks compared to the pen and pad option i now use.
budget is around £100-150 i think... possibly more if i can combine it with christmas.
your thoughts?

don't worry... i will make a secret door behind the the picture that leads to the cult room... this is just the fluffy outer shell >;3
... do i want to know what you have done?... oh... you could have flooded it, taken out all the lights so monsters spawn, set it on fire, plant tree's, rename signs, changed the picture to a creeper, made arrow traps on the way in, blocked the door up, made the floor lava, spawned sheep inside, made a portal to hell inside, or couldn't be bothered...
the possibilities are not endless...
looks like i'm going to have to make it harder to find in future...
now... time to go back to my blown up shrine... thanks...
as yoink correctly said they both mean the same thing.
tweening is the process of generating intermediate frames between two images to give the appearance that the first image evolves smoothly into the second image. Inbetweens are the drawings between the key frames which help to create the illusion of motion
you also have shape tweening which is used for when you want and image to "turn" into another image, however it is not very commonly used as it distorts between the frames.
just in case you wanted to know the different of shape and motion

A lot better then the first...
She got two right hands? (hand with the knife either has the thumb on the wrong side or is not positioned correctly)
background been that strong pink is painful on the eyes i think, tone it down, also the red on the pink is also a rather strong contrast, you want the main focus on the girl so you want her to stand out the most, keeping the background such a strong colour makes the image overwhelming for the eye.
but like i said, vast improvement from the first, a lot more details and structure.
perspective is all over the place... also copy and paste + flip vertical isn't cool when you don't change the shading and lighting...

Find a style of art you like, draw a lot of pictures, work on parts of the body you find hard at drawing (such as hands seen as you missed them off), try to keep things in proportion - so unless you want to limit yourself to anime style artwork... try and stay away from it best you can.
there are a lot of useful tutorials here on newgrounds. flash tutorials link
Keeping on topic now
Okay I've been on Newgrounds for years under a bunch of shitty names etc. Basically is there anyway to claim the name of an old unused account?
Short answer - No
In my knowledge an old account that has never been used has never been given to another user.
yes there is a lot of unused accounts which have never been used, but that doesn't mean someone else can have it because it has never been in use, not only that, but you say you have been on newgrounds under other names, implying YOU have a bunch of accounts which you are no longer using, why be greedy and have another account!?
Seriously I was thinking could a pm like one of the newgrounds staff about it?
this has been mentioned above why this is no longer a valid process.
p.s will showing sick cleavage in the pm help my case?
this only shows immaturity, but your not going to write a PM because of said comments above
At 11/30/11 06:05 AM, Gimmick wrote: But isn't that contradictory? I mean, like if you have a user who contributes a lot to the site, by submitting a lot of flash, audio, art, buys from the store, etcetera, then there's more harm that can be potentially done than a user who hasn't done anything at all? Because it'll be easier to change a user who hasn't done anything because there's less to change, theoretically.
You have a logical point, but people are busy working on site improvements, there are FAR less people who meet the criteria for a name change, and most of them do not want to change their name... the majority of people who want to change their name are low level users who have very little posts and haven't submitted and art, flash or music... if anyone can get a name change, then there may be a flood of people wanting a name change. it is far EASIER and SAFER to make a new level one account with the name you want, if you wish to keep the same email address just change the old one into something else and name your new account using the now "not used" email address.
"Changing your username is not all that simple and it messes up links all across the site like your store purchases and reviews and forum threads and the like. While it may seem easy, it causes headaches for everyone else who has to deal with the repurcussions. So, no name changes. Sorry"
