People who are scouted CAN NOT see your artwork in the (unscouted area) untill you have FOUR artwork's that you have marked up to be shown in the portal. (thus you are able to be scouted)

Yes people can see your artwork on your user-page regardless of been scouted or not.

as long as the best flashes are noticed, does it really matter what score it gets?

the biggest issue i have is with spam flashes *such as dress up games* and other things that took less then half an hour to make getting into the portal... but alas its not hurting anyone...

same with artwork, i have seen artwork get voted 0 before anyone else voted on it... and it was good artwork...

at the end of the day... as long as the good flashes/audio/artwork is noticed does it really matter what the overall score of it is?...

Hey guys, apparently I'm working on some CD cover art as well ;)

so expect something funkay for the electro disc :3...

for some reason this picture doesn't work for me very well... maybe the contrast isn't as strong as other pictures iv seen... but you can do it with any picture really.... just invert the colours... stare at a fixed point and blink like crazy... nothing new...

all I'm getting is a fuzzy shape with a touch of colour.... the face came out good but the rest was a blurry mess...

i agree with TOAS too... and have posted my view on the art on his latest comic strip...

with that done for the moment i wanted to bring up something else :3

This guy has been posting art for a while which was fine... untill this one caught my eye... now i dont tend to jump to conclusions without back up evidence so i checked his backlog artwork... which has no constancy to it, some of its ok... others are crap... then i saw this one which then made me more convinced this guy didn't do the artwork totally... i wasnt able to find the orginal picture because i dont have the time to crawl though shit loads of joans brothers picture... *dont even know who they are* but the later one was easier to track down... he has modified it, but im pritty sure he didnt do the background and used textures over the top.

im not saying this guy isnt a artist... he knows how to use photoshop well and can do some ok artwork... im just saying these last two really scream out that they are filtered or modified.

people are getting better at photoshoping pictures.

Now this guy has been posting comics in the art portal for a while now... i personally don't mind them as such, what i do mind is the guy using the same images again and again and again just changing the eyes or moving a hand or adding a book to the picture... the "art" itself is very basic and i wondered if it is still valid?... i have seen a few of them get low scores... i personalty would like to see original artwork in each post rather then modified pictures to make a new strip...

Outstanding artwork in this thread... i know you are using referencing and what not, but the silly high standard of work and use of colours is unbearable to a "wana be" artist as myself... you sir have talent :3
