you want to submit a comic/manga to the art portal?... i would post either the first 1-4 pages and then the rest in your own personal DUMPING GROUNDS... this way if people want to read it... it is there in a nice safe place... its not going to spam up the art portal or alternatively you could use a thread like this dedicated to posting the entire thing... however a mod might get pissed with it... unsure with the second option...

safest bet is to upload in your "dumping grounds"
( see that bit next to where your name is top left of page... with the white arrow into the yellow box... yeah... that)

post the first few pages in this thread or art portal *please note unless your scouted not many people will see it* and the rest in the dumping grounds...

What is your favorite part of art?

Looking at what other people can do... and feeling proud of myself for about 5 seconds after i have done something that took me hours apon hours to do (and looks vaguely good)

What got you to start drawing in the first place?

Nothing to do, parents give you paper and pencils and away you go!

How long have you been drawing for?

ever since i could hold a pencil, but i have yet to do anything like commissions *apart from friends*

What types of artwork do you enjoy?

i enjoy doing?... i like doing quick sketches of people and painting with acrylic on miniatures around 25mm in size... smaller things with lots of detail rather then something larger and less detail...

What programs do you use to draw/paint?

MS Paint (not the new one!), Flash MX Pro, Photoshop (CS something), Paper and pencils, was given a new sketch book recently. i use a wacom now, before that it was a mouse (i did have another tablet but i rarely used it * wasn't really mine*)

What is your best work to date?

Normally what ever is the most resent thing i have done... but i HATE "showing off" or "bragging", i don't want to seem like a dick, tell me what needs improving rather then saying "oh that's nice, i really like that or some other useless garbage" i dont take compliments well...

Who do you look up to?

if you mean artists, its anyone whos work stands out from the crowd, normally they have very good artwork... miniature wise its people who do a ton of detail on tiny objects, in art on 2d its anyone who can create atmosphere and feeling from a piece and not just a bland (even if its fantastic) picture...

Do you have any other creative hobbies besides drawing/painting?

War gaming (40k, Lotr, warhammer, a few others) , TF2 (prophunt), Live Action Role Playing, MTG *play it now and again*, table top roleplaying (DnD for example) and newgrounds... *sigh*

i have to agree... my number of posts is tiny compared to most people... but i only tend to post of threads that i want to post on... either be it helping someone out in the Wi/Ht or commenting on artwork in the Art fourm... im not here for the post stats... im here for the art and community :3... and if that dies... so will my posts...

i like this whole idea of a art review request thread... i visit the art portal near enough every day for at least 10-20mins...

( I also play the game where you guess the artist from the thumbnail before you hover over it )

i think about where the artist has gone wrong and what i like... but i dont really ever leave a review... so if there was a thread i would be more then happy to help out in there :3

Its very nice, i like the soft use of colour and how you have the lighting... i would just like to point out that the llama's hands are blatantly different sizes. and also note that the bar is rather high, so unless this is some sort of llama club those poor ladies can hardly peer over the top. but that's just me :3... i hope you enjoyed yourself and look forward to see more artwork from you!

In all fairness... 90% of the artwork was ladies... the only men i saw was commissions been done of people... i also studied a bit about what makes a good stall setup so if luckyde wants to have a little chat with me i can give him some pointers...

So, im back from Comic-con... spent all my time (and money) in the art area... dam there is some talented artists *and some not so* spent a while talking to nearly all of them *again missing some on purpose*...

And this is why i dont like looking at peoples accounts who do art and commissions... i would be full of artwork and poor as hell!... but now im fueled up to do my comic!... i have about an hour to work on it before i head off again... COME ON LIFE!!! STOP GIVING ME STUFF TO DO!

but yeah, a lot of comic guys are looking for artists :3...

I have to agree, facebook is something i sometimes browse for like 2 mins, see whats going on, who posted some cat pictures, poke some people... really i could easily live without it... in fact the only reason i have a account was because people kept going on at me to get one... its only usefull for remembering peoples birthdays so i dont have too and telling me about parties and groups of my friends who are going out to various places so i dont have to play the relay game of text messages on my phone...

BUT i could do all that without facebook... its just there and i use it when i want to... it wouldn't change my life if it disappeared forever one day... i dont think i would even bother with google+

from a quick Google search to see who these people are... i would say viola... Elysium looks like some sort of boring angel girl... where as Viola has alot more interesting stuff going on... so i would draw that over an already over drawn concept.

I frickin voted on some frickin moives and i frickin leveled up

i tend to draw pictures other people have done that catch my eye and i want to draw... i find it fun doing doodles of other peoples work as i feel that i have done something cool because i could already see the result, i also tend to learn how people do things, so i slowly build up a collection of ideas and how to apply lines based from works of my favourite artists and artworks i have found...

i have nothing against people doing this sort of thing... but i wouldn't want to post it online for other people to see as i think its sort of pointless to post a copy of something that isn't as good...

keep copies too yourself... post finished original or interesting works...

After playing around with the project system by myself to get a better understanding how it worked and what it does / can do... i wondered if there was anyway of deleting the project?... i can understand why there isnt a deletion button, but i just wondered if there was one or not... i cant seem to find it otherwise...

Ok, when you watch a moive or play a game... theres a massive button on the left hand side of the screen that looks like the picture in my post...

vote fairly on what you thought about the game/flash and leave a review if you really want to...

A blammed submission couldn't have gotten daily first as it would have had to get a score under 2 to be blammed in the first place...

what most likely happened is the flash was stolen from elsewhere. the current flagging system isnt up yet so blowing the whistle on it wasnt an option so someone must have seen it and reported it via PM...

from what i see... all of it is from stock, the white splodges and grey/black lines have been put over the top of it so they arnt from stock... also note the sketchy bricks "the wall" bottom left and the lines coming off the swirl are also not stock of course... but at this moment in time i think the artist is trying to get a collection of images together to either paint over or work with.... so i think he is just trying to get the feel first... just saying what i think as always :D

Yeah i had that issue when i won the Raffy art thing Luis ran, it got stuck here in England and they would let me have it untill i paid some silly about of money for them to release it...

although i haven't had any sort of problem like that with anything i have brought from the store itself...

and i have brought from the store twice... it might just be if you buy a lot of things or if it comes in a box over a certain size or weight... i cant see a few stickers been a problem...
