At 2/7/13 02:38 AM, Haggard wrote: But it also would be unfair for users who cannot vote in the monthly voting. Because... well, they cannot get the bonus EXP.

also i can see "just click on the first 10 i see and vote" rather then "i will pick the best 10"

because (I just want the exp and don't really care about the top ten) attitude may arise and nudge votes off.

for example take the map voting system on tf2, you need to vote but don't care which map... people will spam the first one and so the majority of votes will always be first first one...

but on the other hand, unless its announced loudly, a lot of people wouldn't know about that extra x exp points... so the people who already have a lot of exp and know about it... will just keep increasing that exp gap difference...

i do however feel that the monthly voting should be easier to notice, maybe a "recent notification" to remind you.

i think your taking it a bit far there... if people want to post pony rubbish, be it good or bad, against or for... let them do what they want, when ever they want... we have a bunch of people who will vote accordingly to keep it or blam it.

i have never seen a show nor want to, i have no interest in any of it and don't understand why it has become such a big thing.

as stated in the other thread, newgrounds will never have a day dedicated to it as its not really original.

also... somehow i cant see people who like pony cartoons carrying around shovels and bazookas... just saying

Have you tried putting you request up on the Collabinator?

if not, then it might be worth posting it there as well

it works, there basicly no ad's and has no problems... also i don't think it will be shutting down any time soon...

and if your going to go on about the "but blah blah blah i don't want an account"

what about some other chatroomsite?... your are going to make an account there! what's the difference!?!?!

Well i don't want an account on some random website, I never use google+ apart from hangouts, just because i have an account doesn't mean i need to log into it daily and do what ever the hell you do on it.

Response to: Trying To Get Scouted Posted February 4th, 2013 in Art

First of all, don't ask to be scouted as this is frowned upon, if you artwork is good it will be picked up without having to promote it.

also you really need to crop your thumbnails, having a block of white pictures isn't going to help you chances of getting scouted.

so, still working with tones, still following on from comments made in this thread, adding greys/yellows/oranges/reds into my very dominate brown colour scheme (mainly because my miniature painting is based on browns mostly)

Here is the big version if you want to see all the imperfections

this was referenced from a screen shot i took from a music video which you can find here

so yeah, its still rough and needs refining, just trying to get the tones right, the proportions right.

i think the lips "stick out" of the picture too much, her eyes are too big (or possible the pupils) but... it stares at me O_O

i just redid it and took screen shots of the colours i had issues with, also on one try i managed to get 11 on saturation?

now i just want to see if other people have problems with the colours i do or if its just me... i'm glad i have other colours to compare against otherwise i would get it wrong every time... its normally the one i am trying to match up and that one "disappears" and the other two are blatantly not matching. apart from that the other colours i seem to be ok with...

its 28 times the size of my screen! *of course other computer monitors are better*

there will always be some picture which benefit from full screen.. for example (and this picture is only 1920 x 1080 px)

i think in the whole history of the art portal there is only a handful that i would ever say would benefit from such a large file size... such as this one which is currently at 1920 x 1358...

conclusion - 5000 x 5000 is stupidly big

I remember this news post. I found it via a link on front page... I still think the new canvas size is ludicrously large. like you commented that there are some pictures that will benefit from this... the majority will not and will eat up space for "too lazy to resize"

would have been better if there was a "request bigger canvas size" for artwork rather then bump up the limit for everyone.
with a quick "resize lower or grant bigger size" option button for moderators... just my thought... i dont know what this guy is uploading.. but if its like his High-skool ... well... i will let you be the judge

"in pixels" the clue is in what you posted... what are you trying to upload?... it is either over the 4 million pixel limit or so small its not worth uploading.
