I fixed the eyes, however I think that you have the mouth part incorrect, think of the face as a sphere, and then look at the angle it is at.

:c I tried but it just messed up the drawing, so I didn't.

That's why his lines are rough but constant in thickness.
But have you seen Awesome Gaiden?
He has drawn it like with a hand, no one could draw that good with mouse :S

he uses a tablet, I remember having a conversation with him about this...

set the ink layer to "multiply". This should allow you to color through the white behind the ink you made.

The line art is really nice and clean, but I think you need to take a step back and really think about form.

Right now alot of shortcomings are masked by polish, and alot of people do this, so you need to spend some time, I think, working out angles and sighting form, because he is hideous. The work itself is fine, but where things are placed and how they appear with respect the everything else is a wee bit off kilter.

Not to regress, but I don't quite understand what you mean by angles. The gradient part I do get, however...otherwise, you mine being a bit more specific?

anywho, thanks for the thoughtful criticism.

The character is lacking both balance and correct anatomy. The lines lack any emotion at all.

Your pictures fine, however, dubbing your art 'abstract' is a stupid way to get pretentious people to like your art. See this picture? its abstract. I can has money now?

I disagree with ssjskipp, I think it's always best to stay on top of things. Forget all of your knowledge on AS2, and plan to learn some AS3. Pick up a book and read it through!
here is a list of good books. (not all Actionscript, but all helpful)
