Hmph, it's frustrating because the initial cause has been lost through all the rioting and looting. However, what the rioting does highlight is something far deeper and how broken parts of British society is. I fear that once it's all calmed down a little bit, it'll be a resounding political victory for the right and an excuse to reduce civil rights.

We both know that Barcelona will destroy your beloved Man U again in the CL. :P

I never implied such a thing, I was merely pointing out that our more youthful players had a brilliant game against a 'passionate' City side :) I think if any team is going to close the gap on Barcelona, it will be us. Ah, but I do love a good derby. City are always the same and their fans are just as hilarious. Apparently Manchester is theirs, yet they failed to sell 13,000 tickets of their allocation.

THIS CITY IS YOURS? THIS CITY IS YOURS? 13,000 EMPTY SEATS ARE YOU FUCKING SURE?

Meanwhile, how's the Championship?

I lol'd when City messed up. De Gea looked nervous but I'm sure he'll be fine.

He had a shaky first half, but a decent second. I think he's confident and dominant in the box, just needs to work on a few things. People have to remember the likes of Jaap Stam, who had an absolutely shite charity shield (and in turn was put down as a terrible signing) but obviously went on to be one of the best defenders in the world.

You can't call a team a youth team if its your first team.

Lol, obviously it's not the youth team but don't be silly. You know what I mean.

I think they're talking quality not age.

Yet in the game there was a huge amount of potential quality and City were basically styled on by a United youth team. No decline there.

Crawl back to your cave, you glory hunting n00b, bet that you have never been to Old Trafford before.
Anyway, Man City 2-1 Man U this Sunday.

Wow, didn't know Leeds fans were that jealous of the community shield?! I guess it doesn't strike me how special it is considering we're in it most years, and winning it at that :)

I really can't wait for the season to start and this bloody transfer window to be done with. It's getting so profusely boring, I just want us to sign a CM and get on with it.

You're right, however, that's what I ended up with with auto-complete. I removed Modric from my team considering he's not really a creator or a goal scorer and had to make room for VDV. Had to make a bit of room and Ameobi was a cheap, temporary choice.

I am completely 100% up for this but I won't make a team until closer to the start of the season. I want to see where the transfers end up.

Yeah, no probs. But you can make it anytime before the season and still change your team. You get unlimited transfers up until gameweek 1. :3

Alright guys, I've kick started a league on http://fantasy.premierleague.com .

Sign up, make your team and enter this league code: 14389-84162

My current team, though it'll change I imagine before the season starts. Might shift Fellaini. If a miracle happens and Fabregas stays in England, I'll find a way to get him in. I'm gambling on Rooney taking his pre-season form into the season.

Out of interest, if a fantasy league got started up using the Premier Leagues version, would anyone be interested in joining?

My dad saw her before she got famous. He was at this like soul outdoor concert which had like Kool & The Group and others I forget and she was the warmup. My dad always said that she was really good but then no one paid her any attention at all really. Of course she got big afterwards but that always made me sad :( She was too soulful for our times. Born in the wrong generation.

Agreed, although she introduced me (and I imagine many people) into a wider range of soul music and I appreciate that. She deserved to be big and she was one of the few original singers making it to the top of the charts.

If you want to claim to be a 20-something year old you could at least make an attempt to not type like a retard.

eh he's just a boring troll, "everywun look at me am controversial XD"

Response to: Amy Winehouse Dead Posted July 23rd, 2011 in General

Wow, I'm really gutted about this. She was one of the most talented singers of today and I had the privilege of seeing her in her prime. Obviously the cause of death isn't known, but it's most likely related to her lifestyle and it's such a waste. RIP

I dunno, I played it for a few hours and didn't really enjoy it. I liked what they tried to get at but for some reason (and it was a while ago so I can't point out too many flaws) I didn't enjoy it. Idea was interesting but execution wasn't so great. Nevertheless, I suggest you ignore me and try it yourself, after all, as people have said, it's pretty cheap.

Response to: Duke Nukem Forever, Thoughts? Posted July 20th, 2011 in Video Games

I thinkt he game deserved better than all those 1s and 2s it got, however it's not a great game. In regards to the humour, I played Duke 3D when I was pretty young and used to laugh at fart jokes, but now it's a bit stale (teehee). Also the engine and shit are a bit outdated and it's a bit crap overall, just not 1/10 crap.

Response to: Newgrounds Football Club - Ngfc Posted July 15th, 2011 in Clubs & Crews

I'm not sure, it seems our three main targets have fallen through (being Modric, Nasri and Sneijder) but of course, it could all turn around and we could sign any one of them. Sneijder I admire but obviously £35m for an aging midfielder might be a turn off for fergie, who rarely spends high amounts on 26yo+ players.

To be fair, all I ever hear about the likes of Halo 3 now are that it's overrated. Actually I find the term overrated being thrown about so much that it loses all meaning.

I guess we can't have opinions anymore because opinions are overrated.

Are you talking about the same Wes Brown who got destroyed by Jermaine Beckford in the FA Cup third round upset? He is rubbish and will be lucky to find a Premier League club.

He's already signed for Sunderland... and he's not at all rubbish, he's been a loyal servant and has played well. He never lived up to expectations but always managed to be there as backup and a good backup player he was. 2007 - 2008, our double winning season, he was a regular starter as well as starting in the Champions League Final.

Response to: Newgrounds Football Club - Ngfc Posted July 7th, 2011 in Clubs & Crews

I'm actually gutted that O'Shea and Brown have left.. Both have been United through and through and have been good squad players. O'Shea especially who has always been there to plug any gaps in the defence. Sad to see them leave :( Good luck for the future though.

Aren't you guys trying to lure Nasri away from Arsenal? :P

Yeah apparently so. I'm not a huge Nasri fan but I admire his potential. In terms of who I want us to sign to try and fill Scholes' boots I'd go for Modric > Sneijder > Nasri. Still, anyone of those three would be a good signing. Apparently City are trying to perform a coup on Nasri, or at least they're interested in him. United need to start picking up and bidding for a CM, otherwise we'll get no one.

Still, I'm loving the big exodus from Arsenal.
