If one cannot decipher the difference between good and bad and the benefits of making good choices then these people usually end up in institutions.

Between the sanctions and subsequent ruble collapse plus the Saudis flooding the oil market I'd say Russia is fucked for at least the medium-term. Putin can either concede and reach an agreement on Ukraine (with possibly Syria added into the mix) or he can become Yeltsin 2.0. I can't see a winning position for Russia. There's always the option of kicking Russian financial institutions out of SWIFT if Putin tries to do anything stupid. Putin tried to take Russia back to its former Soviet glory, and it worked for a little bit, but ultimately Russia is too connected to the West economically and they cannot win that fight. It turns out that taking Crimea has been a pyrrhic victory.

Russia is a powerhouse. All Russia needs to do is strengthen their ties with China and the fat, arrogant and ignorant American empire will perish.

I have a question to bring to this topic, and I don't know if it has been addressed or not, but has there ever been an effective private police force in any country that isn't power hungry on money?

My thread here and we are now on the topic of how America has transformed into a Welfare Bums paradise.

It's so sad that some people think that the country they were born in is a part of them and then proceed to take shit personally when people call America what it is ... A Welfare bums wet dream LOL.

That isn't the worst site to draw sources from, thankfully, but unless the book has sources in it itself, there are no sources to draw any conclusions about the budget. I wish I could take what someone says on a site like Forbes at face value, but I think it'd be betterfor the article to source the claims on all that spending.

Good effort on your part, though.

Public referendum LOL since when do citizen have a vote on a Ballot on anything outside of elections ? Important Political decisions are pretty fucking obvious or so I thought. Voting on Wars to engage in or not to and Police body cams all the way down to do we want to smoke cigarettes in bars and pubs. Also voting on weather or not to fire a president before his time is up.

There are petitions, they have email addresses, regular mailing addresses. You can make a point if you want to try is my point. Hell, even just simply vote against them if you don't like their ideas.

I like petitions ... you get enough people behind them and they can work. Sad thing is that if the petition did not work to get the Wally Mart to fuck off there would be many many more people than the 93,000 people that singed the petition that would flock to the new Wally Mart to buy it's junk like fly's on shit.

Because remember kids, elections don't happen, public referendum doesn't exist either....

As I said the people don't get a say on important political and social decisions rather they elect a pre approved regime to make all of the important choices for them.

Heck, you can't even simply contact politicians about issues that effect you! ....

If they had the time ... which they don't they cannot debate semantics and opinions with the people as that is not a part of their duties.

A better idea would be to make it possible for citizens to vote the police officer out of his position as he is a public official - or to vote him under arrest, or whatever. I know this could potentially lead to abuse of the voting system to keep him in or get officers that don't cooperate kicked out - I'm just tossing around ideas.
