There ARE still real Catholics out there. Take, for example, these people. While they may horrible people, they ARE following their religion. The Bible's laws are meant to be taken word for word.

It's not just SOME Catholics...it's an astounding MAJORITY of Catholics.

When a 17 year old 'Catholic' boy claims to be "down with Jesus", and yet has permiscuous sex almost regularly, a reason to bash appears.
When a 45 year old 'Catholic' man puts his own mother into a nursing home just so he could have control of her money, a reason to bash appears.
Catholics rarely follow what their bible tells them; they only pick and choose the words they find conveniant. THAT is a GREAT reason to bash.

Though i am an atheist, I don't have a problem with the idea of religion itself.
I DO, however, have problems with Christians.
While you may claim to be a devout believer in Christianity, i know for a fact that most 'Christians' sin daily. They don't follow the words of the Bible, and go against the holy laws regularly. Actually, i can assure you that more than 95% of the 'Christians' on this site have broken Commandments in this past week. And if you think that just because you keep going back to Confession to cleanse yourselfs of sin you are being faithful to your Lord, you've missed the whole concept of your faith. The point is not to keep washing away sins of the past; it's to not sin in the first place.
And while i would most certainly respect a REAL Christian (a homophobic, sexist, bastard zealot), I, in no way, agree with their way of life. Christians, as a group, have killed more 'infidels' than ANY other religion. What's worse, they did it in the name of Jesus.
I do respect MANY other religions, however, such as Buddhism, Wicca, Hare Krishna, and Paganism.
They are all very peaceful, and openminded to new ideas.
