Maybe if he didn't encourage us to use Game Maker as he recommended us to try it he wouldn't have had all this hatred against him, I use Construct from Scirra myself but I don't go around and recommend it on an open forum, I know the outcome is full of shit if I try.

And not everyone know's scripting/coding, So I myself have to stick to a WYSIWYG program, I tried learning a scripting language but I gave up, I tried searching for "Flash actionscript tutorials" didn't go far there myself, so not everyone has the ability to script altough I am aware that AS is better (and harder!) then GML.

Game Maker had some good games in the past but it's not the tool that sucks it's the idiots (yoyogames is full of these) that make worthless games with it, the tool is great alright, I liked "an untitled story" by Matt Thorson, I got no doubt Flash can do better, actually there is a game that was remade with Flash and had a series in Game Maker (Karoshi)

What I'm asking is what is the genre of that specific music, listen to it fully at first, the first part of the midi may suck but when it comes to the end it goes all choir-ish or piano, any idea what theme is this? I kind of like it and want more similar to it, it will be useful for the game I'm making.

Honestly I googled and found alot more links, I picked the wiki and this link from the millions which are probably leaked info from Microsoft themselfs and the media take it, so I guess they are working on it, there are many more links if you google "windows 8" btw.

I believe it can only get better, they got Windows 7 done right judging from internet sources so there's no reason to doubt on Windows 8. (Will possibly support DirectX 12 for ultra realistic graphics putting a new meaning to nextgen games)

Unless it's a Coil barreled cannon it wouldn't work, the cannon fire will burn the pillow and the pillow will turn into ashes long before it would hit the person.

Coil barrel is a magnetic force barrel so you need to put something metallic in the pillow like a pin or something.

For the fps it should be equivalent of 24 or so? standard goes well.

This movie impressed me but I came with questions about it's creation, how this movie animated?

is it FBF or tweened? and how much fps it uses to make it run smooth?

Well I have the latest version of Adobe Flash (CS4 I think) so yeah I do have AS3.

For an absolute beginner, I want to create/start a relatively small game and then learn from it but most of the tutorials I found across google feature long lines of code that I given up ahead :| because I got lost trough reading them.

I have no programming or coding skills and my old games were done in Game Maker (they were all platofmers) now I have gotten some interest in Flash and would like to know how to make games on Flash.

For a beginner which AS version should I start with? (AS1/2/3?)
Which tutorials should I stick with?
