"Standing Here Waiting"
Wrote this about an old song I made
I stand here alone against the tides of this age,
dressed for a rehersal set on an empty stage.
I read my lines to the crowd that doesn't exist,
all the while there's a laughter I try to resist.
So brilliantly do I read the words with effortless grace,
all alone, only I am the one to set the pace.
The message delivered, and hold my breath and pause,
And in my mind I am met by thunderous applause.
As time continues to run away,
I find myself patient in every way.
The day will come when my brilliance will shine,
And upon my energy will the audience dine!
My movements accented by an immaculate chourus,
the scene cuts to a shadowy enchanted forest.
Filled with desire I go over my play while contemplating,
what it will be like when no longer am I standing here waiting
like it? lol

"The Power of Song"
Caught in a void lacking of time and space,
I feel as though I’m caught running and endless race.
Chasing a dream to the ends of time and then running back,
Rounding the corner of life I try to complete the first lap.
Gravity fails me as I start to float into a colorless sky,
Spotted with stars that are magnificent to the human eye.
I spread my arms and I move ahead and start to take the lead;
To win the race doesn’t feel like a want so it must be a need.
Caught in a world alive with the spells of sounds,
Physics no longer exist and I constantly push the bounds.
Time doesn’t flow and the body can’t tell,
What is the reason for this wonderful spell?
The sun doesn’t set and neither does it rise,
I see with the strangest of twilights that fill the skies.
Colors of the spectrum ranging from blue and green
to a list of new colors that I’ve never seen.
Hearing a door I look towards the noise and I can’t believe
That I was so caught in the moment that my mind was decieved.
Not knowing I was at home all along,
I actually lost myself while making a song.

You're thinking of the "Commercial Filter" z3ta+ preset.
That's not the sound I used. Mind, I did use the arpeggio, I figured it sounded good, but it is NOT the same instrument. I made my own. :D

Hmmm then either that instrument sounds remarkably close to another or erriely enough one night i farted wit hthe synth setting and got the same sound,

To me, i have to admit, music is a drug to me. But in my *and every other musicians defense* its perfectly legal, it stimulates the mind in so many ways that regular mental activities cant, PROMOTES brain growth, and even if its our escape from reality, its our way to escape bullshit like this, and provide others less talneted than we the same means to escape the same bullshit that keeps dragging our moods, our hopes, and our dreams into the bastardized gutters of dispare and manipulation.
In real life, getting a good job depends on 2 things.
getting lucky and being really good at kissing ass.
We as musicians, realize that we dont need that crap.
We wont Stand for that crap.
And as a result,
We will continue to do what we do,
to have those same people having their asses kissed.....
Kissing OUR asses for more and more of what we do.
Keep up the fight man.
And its easier for me to say this than a good bit of others,
But if your parents arent supportive of you making music, then they have worn out their purpose as Roll Models, and are now just the people who gave you life. Nothing more, and nothing less *in my opinion anyway, i have a rather harsh look on reality :\* and should be replaced by people *or a lover....those work just as well XD* who DO support what you do.
There's nothing that anyone needs less of than parents who cant spot talent when it roundhouse kicks them in the face like Chuck Norris XD

When I was growing up, my dad was really into Rush and Metallica. Dad would go on and on about how goldy he thought Neal Perts drumming skills were.
He has their concert "a show of hands" on video tape, but while dad was watching Neal playing, i was watching Alex on the guitar XD
I listened to what he could do on the guitar and became crazy for them ever since.
Strangely enough, at first i absolutely hated techno. Couldnt make any sense out of it and thought it was absolutley absurd.....now i love it XD
Im also heavy into classical music now, and when i have a new project that i work on i ask my dad a lot about what he thinks. He's pretty helpful.
Mom always like the happier genres of rock and sometime pop i think.
She realy liked the beatles, umm.......i dont really remember, i found all the music she liked a bit too fruity for me XD *not trying to diss em or anything, but dad raised me around progressive rock and metal XD*
My Brother will listen to just about anything under the sun aside from country and rap.
For the most part i dont like rap either, but as with all genres, some artists can display the genre's strong points.
