i was thinking that sepparating fkash experience from audio experience would be good, but now that i think of it again, the audio people who worked hard getting their experience would start from scratch... oh this was said already a couple of pages ago : P

so what about... being able to get 10 daily exp points for voting in the flash portal and another 10 daily exp points for voting in the audio portal? mmh nah, it would take some random voters to the audio portal and vote randomly on songs just to get more experience...

in that case, merge both the flash portal exp and the (future) audio portal exp into one , that way, your votes would actually count in both places and in the same way! you could vote in 2 flashes and 3 songs...

sorry for repeating stuff said in previous pages. ill resume it:

-make audio portal votes count for the general experience points
-make the daily voting in the audio portal weekly or something. i dont think its working much, specially with the few votes songs get right now :C anyone can mass vote 5 every day to bring his/her favorite (or own) song up in the lists

People can already vote without actually watching the flash, they just open it in a pop up or dont open it at all! also, having the flash in a lightbox slows it down a bit, when i found out about this i decided to use the pop-up... so thats why this in-page method is better than any of those, cause (i think) it wouldnt slow the page down and would still let you use the page while the movie loads or something :)

that would be grat but i think its harder to make, since it hasnt been done in the site before (whenever you want to see all the comments or all the reviews, it loads a new page, same with the posts)

Its already done when you leave comments in userpages or review flashes... or give them a vote. so i dont think its too hard to do it. it wont screw the ccs up too much, deviantart does it already.

and about the vote without watching, thats only valid enough in the submissions under judgement, and they have been using the "voting panel will appear once the submission is loaded" since 2005 i think. so it doesnt affect that :)

it will still be kinda isolated, surrounded by a black frame and stuff... its way more convenient than the lightbox and, if the movie/game is too long, you can easily scroll up or down (which is something you CANT do with the lightbox because it stays in the center, you have no idea how fristrating that can get when playing a game).

Dont you hate when you're watching a flash movie or playing a flash game and you want to give it a vote or review it but you CANT since the lightbox wont let you? you could always watch it as a pop-up but we all know its not too nice and convenient and it clutters your taskbar...

ok so the goal here is to convince the staff to implement this idea instead of the lightbox. its more convenient since it opens the flash in the same window and it also lets you do other stuff in the same page while waiting for the flash to load...
