And second.. My music is not inspired by sex. I was referring to the sounds made DURING sex as music dude.

Why are you thinking about music during sex...?

This is a valid point, however, it's not a terrible thing to have. It WILL give you an advantgae, and may improve on your writing. When you know which direction you want the song to go in, but aren't sure how to write it down, thats when perfect pitch comes into play.

The best way to learn this, is to have one person sit at a piano and play a random note, (Start off with the regular middle C scale, and work your way up from there) then, it is your job to go to the piano, and play the same note they played.

I know this worked for me... Give it a shot.

Oh don't worry, there's a surprise tonight when you go to bed.

Unless you don't know me, then you're going to have to go ahead and throw your bed away.

Is it a nuclear hamster?

I don't want to be a dick...
No, you do. And your post lacks that.

Woah, suppose your post shows me up then huh'? >:{

As for the 'lyrical debate', I completely agree. Sadly again, damn mainstream absolutely butchers lyrics, what with the "Ho' slayin crack dealin' baby punching" happening down in teh Ghett0. Now
Those are real problems.

I don't want to be a dick... But I REALLY beg to differ.

Although hip-hop DOES require musical talent, I can't fully agree that you have to be a genius to do it. It's a generic loop that consits of SOME type of guitar/piano riff, thats followed by the most bland and reptative beat that's used in FAR too many songs... (Well, mainstream anyway...)

As Rucklo said, the 'hip-hop' scene on NG is not the greatest. And sadly, I've found that mainstream hip-hop as absolutely murdered it's reputation among the average listener. Compare 50 cent to Jedi Mind Tricks... you'll see what I mean. I've always been a sucker for teh political rap.

Oh Maestro...

It's a shame conversations like that happen... I've enganged in a few of those myself. We can all sit here, and tye away complaining about how 'Fucking retarded' your parents are, but that won't motivate you to no listen to them. I'm not sure how heavily that conflict has effected your desire and passion for music. I may be full of shit, but I know that would knowck me down a peg. All I can tell you, is that I'm truly sorry. Some people... aren't as educated on the values of music like we are. Some people, don't understand the emotion and thought that goes behind the placing of every note.
Remember Maestro, you are genius with what you do, an nothing will change that. Nobody can tell you what's good for your future or not, just remember... We're all here. =)

Never give up Maestro, I need somebody to pay my way through old age. >:}

Response to: Mac Audio Question... Posted February 25th, 2007 in Audio

I had thought tha originally as well, until I had stumbled across some of the free 'VST's' (simple crap) and, lo an behold, it worked.

Mac Audio Question... Posted February 25th, 2007 in Audio

Not sure if there is a topic for this already, but I've got a curse on my hands... I own a Mac (feel free to joke) and am TRYING to get VST's for a crappy version of Finale... NOw, the version of Finale I own doesn't support VST's, however, I found a program, "Amadeus Pro" which claims to support VSTi's and VST plug-ins. Now, my question is; Does anyone know what type of VST's Amadeus Pro will support, and, where would I get them?

Thanks,

~Tristan

Response to: What music did you grow up with? Posted February 25th, 2007 in Audio

My Father had a selective taste... being a drummer in a band, I was mainly introduced to the 'hard-rock' style of music. Although, my Father enjoyed doing little 'tests' with me. plopping me down in front of the CD player, seeing my reaction to various genre's. At about 6 years old, my favourite style of music was Public Enemy and Ray Charles.
(But I could still do a wicked Elvis inpersonation...)

This is actually quite funny...
I've been playing the piano for two years now... Extremely fast learner, got my grade 7 (no joke) last month. I've got some HighSchool essential theory (for what I was awake for) and intervals from Simon-F (Thanks buddy >:}). So, basically... I know what a C Minor chord is :P.

I've been composing for a year last month (yay me)... I took a short lil' 'Hiatus' after I had given up on my original account (Mozart-101). After continuous conversations with MaestroSorrow, I decided I would come back and give 'er another shot...

I use the TERRIBLE Finale PrintMusic, 'xause I'm too cheap to get the REAL Finale... ='(

My dreams are to help people relaize the importance of music... The emotion, the beauty, and sheer brilliance a few simple notes can offer astonishes me. My point for uploading to Newgrounds, is also to inspire... I hope I one day inspire somebody to write something, anything, like so many Newgrounds artist have inspired me to do. Recognition is the last priorty on my list, as long as people like what they hear, and become semi-inspired, then my work is done. :)
