Erm... I'm not sure what you're talking about. The only "mood affecting" tonalities and such I know of are Binaural Beats. But I don't think thats what your asking...

It seems as though you are proposing the "dance" factor in a song? It's all skill, and knowing your audience. The key plays a large role in internalizing a song; if you take a gander over at the top songs of our generation, most (if not all) contain the same progression, and usually key. There are some keys the average listener/amateur singer have more luck with when it comes to enjoying and singing along.

Perhaps some clarification would resolve this issue?

Oddly enough, I managed to stave off "0 bombers" for the duration of my life here on Newgrounds (almost 6 years) - but, I just submitted something, went to edit it, came back, and it was down to a 1.74 - isn't that incredible? Has this problem been worse lately?

Also, Chrony - I agree whole heartedly, what's the point of having fans if you can't reach them?

Response to: Where Can I Learn How To Sing? Posted February 11th, 2011 in Audio

Heres the thing;

Vocals, either recognized by the masses or not, are instruments - and teaching an instrument is much like teaching a trade; it's a good investment (for most).

Unfortunately, I really only see YouTube being a "free" option, but even then I'd worry. The thing about singing is you really need someone around to critique your phrasing, breaths, and pitch; doing that stuff alone is just a bad idea, especially if it's something you want to pursue further, or be good at in general.

My suggestion is to hire a teacher - it may be costly, but if you find an amateur (perhaps at a University/College, or through a basic Google search) you'd save a bit of money.

Well, I have recently created this great piece with that program, but Newgrounds apparently only accepts .mp3 files which means that I cannot upload it directly. Is there a way to convert it to .mp3 so that I can submit it?

At the top of the screen in Garageband, there is an option to 'share'. Select 'send song to iTunes' and it will equalize and buffer the track for you. From there, iTunes will launch the shared MP3 - click and drag it to your desktop, and upload the MP3 to Newgrounds.

That's what I do. Lemme' know if you need anything else.

Response to: Who Inspires you on this site? Posted May 27th, 2010 in Audio

Honestly - I'm not sure if this falls under inspiration, or an abyss of respect and admiration.

Simon-F has an abundance of knowledge and talent, not only an excellent composer but an established and respected composer at Juliard - not an easy feat. Love to link, but he doesn't exist anymore. :'(

WinterWind-NS is a brilliant, brilliant composer - whenever I'm struggling to remember why I like music, I have my way over to his page, sit back, and let the inspiration soak in.

Musical_Rocky is an underrated genius - so many large pieces that are beyond comprehension in complexity and originality. I heavily suggest if you haven't already, go see him... NOW!

And lastly, as fanboy-ish as possible, MaestroRage. The dudes a pimp. Can't argue with that.

Also, you assholes better appreciate the free ads I'm dropping for you. You know who you are.

Response to: Why do you write music? Posted February 9th, 2009 in Audio

Music, in it's entirety, is the only thing keeping me sane. However, it is the same thing that causes sleepless nights and loss of hair / testicles.

Music is like a bitch lover, that puts out every once in a while - but never when you want her too.

Its weird, but cool.

Well put, perhaps that's what I should've said. Still, I can't help but point out the rarity of actually saying the right thing at the right time... I know that's what makes me so reluctant to post. Still, good point, note taken.

Response to: Why is it... Posted March 9th, 2008 in Audio

In all honesty, every-time I post, I'm reluctant as hell. I've been given shit from people too many times to even bother to put my input in anymore; either someone thinks what I said was off topic, irrelevant, or just plain uneducated - and I never hear the end of it.
However, you may also me confusing spam with actual intellectual conversation. I think it's fair to say here in the AF the topics are pretty clean (besides the occasional butt saix joke, Chron ;D). Plus, if you don't have like a million posts, you generally get overlooked - especially if you're not one of the big wigs of the Audio world.

Granted, that's really immature to say, especially dragging shit up from over a year ago. If we all let it go, they should all let it go. And you're right, assholes like that make NG sound like a safe-haven for retards. It's too bad really, intellect is so scarce on the forums.
