Um, what?

You're looking for this on Newgrounds? This EXACT sample?

Um... I'm not sure what you're asking.

Are you looking for a site that does all the work for you? Because what you're advocating seems like a loop based website/builder, with reeks copyright infringement all over it.

My best advice is to pick up the Demo of FruityLoops (free, and you can export MP3's - just don't close what you're doing) and give it a whirl. It's worth exploring your own talents, sir/madam.

I'd love to think the NG AP is awesome. But, sadly, it isn't.

For aspiring artists (such as myself), it's a difficult place to break in to. There are cliques that are damn near impossible to become a part of, reviews are scarce, and if you manage to get some, they either consist of "This are t3h win!" or, "this fucking sucks" - however, occasionally, and only occasionally, one will receive a well thought out review full of constructive criticism.

The AP forum is rubbish. You come here with a question, and get mocked. Unjustly. Unless you're a part of the regulars, or of the clique(s) I mentioned before, nobody cares what you have to say.

Newgrounds is a great place, but only for some people. Some musicians will get the exposure they deserve, and others won't. This is a place for the popular ear.

I'm not saying that dubstep artists and techno producers are lousy, in fact, I'm often the among the first to run and download the new xKore track, all I'm saying is for us aspiring Classical/soundtrack musicians, this may not be the place for us.

Don't get me wrong, I <3 Newgrounds to death - but sometimes I wonder why I bothered to upload at all.

Ho' snap. Thanks for the info sir, and for the help. Much appreciated.

Ouch. Can't tell if you're being superior or not.

Truthfully, I'm not well versed with Audio Software, and my knowledge is minimal. I went from Finale, to Garageband, to Reason.

Cut me some slack, would ya'?

It turns out I'm a liar.

Sent Cakewalk an email outlining my problem... any ideas? It's kind of funny, there are some samples (the one I remember is something like; "Violins behind the bridge" [that I used in my recent submission, wink wink]) that appear and reappear at will. And this fucking Dimension file is nowhere no be found; theres a folder for it, that has a couple Readme's in it... I r confused.

Auto-tuning Samples in Reason 5 Posted March 15th, 2011 in Audio

Anybody know how to Autotune a ripped Sample from say, a Youtube video, in Reason 5?

I've figured out how to sample it through a NNXT and assign it to a Midi Keyboard, but I'm curious as how to add that Autotune-ie sound.

Hopefully I can do this without Record 1.5...

Any advice?

Hmm... good point, sir. Hadn't seen it that way...

Well, I'd like to offer a very sincere congratulations to the top 8. They were, indeed, quality submissions! After listening to them all, I felt a very genuine feel of space like themes. Thanks for the nostalgic entries, folks!

While we're on the topic of qualifying/disqualification, may I ask if mine was of that case? Not looking for praise, just wondering if I should make the same effort and rule structure with this NAC or not.

Additionally, I should mention I'm looking forward to this NAC's submissions, and competeting myself. Using the wife as consultant, being Irish an all. :p

That, good sir, is an excellent attitude.

I was wondering, what made the other songs not good enough for the final 8?
Were they really not space or videogame enough? Just curious =]

Truthfully, I believe Bjra's submission was the best. Hands down. I'm absolutely stunned and baffled as to why he didn't get in.

However, most of the tracks i hear are really, really, really dull. Technically they might be there but come on.. is that the best people can think of? Its like people here just made bad club with chip instrumentation.

Just wondering if you guys even listened to my submission???
I know it was short but i deserve to know what people think of it and why dont i?
Ive gone out of my way on it.

Normally I would discourage such narcissism, but he makes a valid point. His entry was spectacular, and more than appropriate for a space theme. It's got bonus points written all over it!

I understand this is a contest, and making the time to enter is solely one's responsibility, but are we not deserving of valid reviews? How do we grow as artists (all looking for jobs, mind you) if when presented with a commissioned work, we get no constructive criticism?

Which was my thought exactly. On numerous occasions, I've stumbled upon things in the Audio Portal that are, simply, illegal. The odd time so that I've reported it and/or attempted to put these thieves out in the spotlight - and what do I get? A Garbage Whistle level.

Methinks there should be no exception to this rule. Copyright is copyright, illegal is illegal.

Is this okay? I'm sure most if not all of us are either familiar with this piece or the video - the author claims he/she has "re-arranged" and "edited" it enough to be able to confidently claim it as their own work.

I'm calling shenanigans. Thoughts?
