The best one I've found so far is Bezo's version of the Temple of Time. Its definatly in the top 5 best songs I've heard on newgrounds in general, let alone LoZ remixes

sorry, meant to say a lute cant have that 12-string effect even more so than a mandolin
well being it is a pretty heavy based celtic band, the main choices would probably be a lute, banjo, or a gut guitar. A dulcimer isn't exactly a celtic instrument, and a mandolin cant have that kind of 12-string effect, and a banjo even more so. I'd actually go with a banjo since it can have that synth-like effect to it if it's played right (listen to "One Thing" by Finger Eleven, they use a banjo in the beginning of their song). It could still be a gut guitar thats been EQd, its hard to tell. But that's my 2 cents worth
