I wrote this awhile back when i was around 15-16. I hope it has some kind of meaning to someone, I was and still am quite proud of this fragment of my "out of touch" mind. Thanks for reading. (though I use the word god, it isn't in the sense of a religious figure, merely a personification of the unexplainable phenomenons in our lives)

Fate's Destruction

A shadow to the system
Breaching the empire of light, created to protect the sacred
Encumbered by the strain of something cynic
Drawing closer, the voices cloud the imperfections
Drowning your thoughts, the sands of time disappear with a moment’s passage
Questions come and go, answers incoherent to the cause

A reality broken by a tragedy
Love stricken angels, corrupted by greed and temptation
Benevolent intentions fall victim to debauchery
Do you understand your pitiless god’s treachery?

The fables always tell tales of heroes
Completing their journey, set to a path
Contrary to these distorted stories
Life isn’t about being a hero
For most it isn’t even about themselves

Confusing to the illiterate mind
The endeavors one may face, their destinies impervious to their actions
Controlled by the system
Breaking in the strong, killing off the weak

Years passed by, generations bred to live in ignorance
The only hope for change, left in the hands of man
The decision to be made, reflected by the souls of the dead
Tyranny to the nations, revolutions prophesize the end

The shards of planning, pieced together by man
A group dedicated to destroying the chains of history
Enslaving the past to give life to the future, a cycle of repentance
Apocalyptic visions, chaotic intentions, driving the gears of this machine
Knowledge integrated with power, a force extricated from this world
Desolation gripping the wastelands of a war torn path

Man walks further and further from the confines of fate
Investigation of the system, brings forth understanding of nothingness
Based on the broken fragments of the empire of light
They conclude that the system is the will of god, immune to a mortal man’s influence

I'm not sure if this has been answered or not, and I apologize if this isn't the place for this post, I also apologize for how dumb this question is, but I was wondering, do the audio mods do any approvals over weekends? I merely ask this since I know the workload for the audio mods is high, but should I count weekends in the approval process? i'm very new to newgrounds(uber noob) and was just curious, because I don't want to seem too impatient in the approval process, thanks for your time,
