Bush had his chance to unite the united states of america during the war in afghanistan, after the events of september the eleventh.
However, he did not take this opportunity, and jumped into the war in Iraq, which he has been planning for years.
I do not beileve the nation will unite for many years to come because of this, sorry Kerry.

Also, crappy insults to the conservitave party such as "I'll have to compare your intelligence with a republican's" just makes you sound like a dumbfuck {and i am a liberal saying this so um.... good luck getting flamed by the republicans}.

CONTINUATION OF POINT #2- IRAQ:
Also, I am fucking tired of hearing people say Saddam has and is willing to use weapons of mass destruction, there are two major problems with saying this:
1. Saddam Hussein has been captured already, so how could he STILL have weapons of mass destruction?
2. Every media station, inlcuding fox news, has admitted there were no weapons of mass destruction. the Bush administration has admitted this. more proof that us americans dont listen.

POINT #3- Misleading names on bills by the Bush administration:
This is also a biggie that is not mentioned much out in public.
Notice- the Bush administration has labelled everything very nicely, in some situations simply so that Bush could say them properly; I will list many of them now.

Weapons of mass destruction: This one was cleverly named to both terrify people, and so Bush wouldn`t have to mispronounce "Nuclear" anymore.

The clean skies act: its interesting that this bill has actually made skies more polluted then they were before, a perfect example of a misleading name.

The patriot act: ...is it really neccessary to add in the word "patriot" to make it sound patriotic??

No child left behind act: Once again... this backfired, and left thousands of children behind in their education/monetary funds.

I could name many, many more....

I will post more points later, for now I am curious to see the response to my little speech.

My two cents... Posted November 3rd, 2004 in Politics

To those of whom it may concern,
I have seen many, many people over the past two years who have been horribly misinformed. I am not blaming this on any specific person, but I will say that both Micheal Moore and Fox News have played a large role in this.
I will explain the way I view politics right now as intellegent as I can, by explaining one point to another.

Point #1- September 11th
This is where I see the most fear tactics being played, by both sides.
This is basically what happened, summed up into about a paragraph:
Osama Bin laden warned us forehand that he was going to attack a major monument in the United States of America, but he did not say exactly where. president Bush got reports of this, and I am not aware that he did anything to prevent it {NOTE: I am not saying he did NOTHING , I am simply pointing out that I do not know what he did exactly about it; if anything. Then, a fine september morning, Al Qaueda Hijiacked multiple airplanes.
One was targeted to the Pentagon, it hit, and it did quite a bit of damage to the Pentagon building, killing many.
The other was beileved to be aimed at the whitehouse, but because of a few young men {and possibly women, mind you}, it crashed in some woods.
Now for the one we hear so much about: the two planes that hit the twin towers {world trade center}. Noone expected this. I do not and never did expect anyone to expect this. However, this was an obvious target coming from Osama Bin Laden, as he has tried to attack these towers before. Bush ignored that little peice of American history. everyone did. That right there is probably one of the most exxagerated slip-ups by the left wing, people saying that Bush knew that Osama aimed at the twin towers.
There were many things that the CIA did not plan well, however.
The date was a huge clue. the main police number in America is 911, the date was 9/11. See a resemblence?

After 9/11 George Bush installed the 9/11 commission, which did its job just fine, they are a major source of facts while I am writing this.
Also, George W. Bush attacked Afghanistan, in attempts to hunt down and imprison {if not kill} Osama Bin Laden. He kept his focus here. The country was United {unlike now}. Hell, we had ALLIES , there was even a headline for a major newspaper in france saying "We are ALL america now".... we don`t have anything close to that now.
What George Bush should have done is keep America and all the countries united, by staying after Osama Bin Laden.
If he had done this I would love him.
I would love the president, it would have been a landslide against John F. Kerry.
However, Bush had to go on with his former plans of going into Iraq and killing Saddam Hussein.
This is my next point, may I add.

Point #2: Saddam Hussein
Even before George W. Bush became president, after his father`s term as president, he thought it a mistake to go into Iraq and not kill Saddam Hussein.
He had plans of going into Iraq when he was running foroffice back in the year 2000. He was going to go into a war, get the nation behind him, get a major terrorist out of power, and get oil from the whole routine {oil was not the main cause; I don`t beileve it to be anyway}.
He had the chance to do all of this with the war in Afghanistan.
He didn`t stay focused on Afghanistan, and went into Iraq, transporting the majority of the U.S.A`s army there.
this, may I add, was a horrible, horrible mistake. we the majority of the alliances I mentioned before.

From Iraq, many people have died obviously, and a draft may or may not be instituted.

One of the worst things I hate about the misinformed americans is when they claim "Saddam was a bad man, therefore it was right to go to Iraq". It is fucking obvious he was a bad man, he was a HORRIBLE man.... that is still no reason to go to war with Iraq. Osama is bad too, shouldn`t our main focus be on him instead??
Another thing I hate is "Always support our president in time of war", which is an actual quote from Britney Spears.
That one quote is possibly the most retarted and uneducated statement I have ever heard a human being in their right mind say.
Listen up. think on your own. Always question decisions, don`t just think its right because everyone else does. This is a theory by the philosoher Plato, he wanted his students to question him.
Don`t you think we should start questioning a few things instead of trying to be stereotypical 'patriotic' rednecks?
I do. I for one am tired of the 'patriotic' bullshit.

Because I am nearing my character limit (for posting), Im afraid I will have to post my other points in seperate posts, I also apologize for any misspellings in here.
Discuss.

...Please, dont commit suicide. I see your purpose in life.
I share the same beileif as you, I made it myself, yet it seems nearly exactly the same, when shortened, it basically is just that humanity considers themselves better than the rest of the world, when they are not. I have been trying to convince people of this for months, you are the only person I have seen so far who thinks this as well, its no reason to commit suicide.
Think about it, if you die, noone will care, the human race will keep fucking up the planet. ast least try to do something about it.
please.

Im not sure if what you wrote meant that you were contemplating suicide or something, but it sure soudned like it.

I dont like foamy, pretty much everything on Nickelodeon, daytime cartoon network, Fox, PBS is too boring, disney channel.
Some shows on Cartoon Network are really overrated in my opinion, like Sealab 2021, or Aqua Teen Hunger Force.
Oh yes and I dont like Futurama, Simpsons are becoming too cliche and re-used for my taste, DragonBall and DragonBallGT both suck, I still find DragonBallZ slightly entertaining.
I also hate queer eye for the straight guy, Pokemon, there is also one show on comedy central I dont remember the name of, its "shorties something something", I think its shorties watching shorties. its about two babies attempting stand up comedy, that show sucks ass.
I also dislike most of the romance movies on the spanish channel, its pretty much if you have seen one, you have seen them all.
I dont really like the Brak show, on adult swim usually, but it has its moments from time to time.
