Response to: Flash not working in IE7 Posted June 7th, 2007 in Game Development

I'm pretty sure he did, He had a link to it before and it didn't work for my IE 7 either, but it did work on my Firefox.
It was the same when someone else posted the same problem.

Response to: cursors Posted June 7th, 2007 in Game Development

Do you mean the fancy looking cursors that are just for show?
I guess -
one that possibly erases the background?
one that draws, but it dissipates after a while.

Response to: Flash not working in IE7 Posted June 7th, 2007 in Game Development

Uh, does this help?
If it does, I can say "The wonders of Google.com".
And if it doesn't, then I have no idea. Send hatemail to Microsoft?

Response to: Streaming Flv Player Posted June 7th, 2007 in Game Development

You could always try Riva FLV Encoder.

I think so... unless the poster is a six year old or the dumbest user on Newgrounds.

Indeed, Only a 6 year old would think that s/he could be a NG user AND be popular.

I. Don't. know. =\

You must have SOME sense of style, if you don't, I'll kill you. >=(
Put some fancy stylish crap in there. Don't you think it looks rather plain with just a background, your name, and some buttons?

Put some style into it. That's all I can say.
As in, borders, outlines, sleek looking lines. etc.

At 6/6/07 11:04 PM, Nerpok wrote: I am also working on my first flash movie (madness parody) and I know this will sound stupid but how do you use MCs in your movies?

Creating a movie clip :
- Draw the 1st frame of your intended movieclip.
- Select all, then hit F8 and select 'Movieclip' > then OK.
- Double click on the movieclip then edit it as you will. Adding frames will make it loop.

Using a movie clip :
- Hit Ctrl + L, drag it out of the library and place as you desire.
- The movieclip will loop as long as it's on the timeline.

Lmao, the irony there is that you use freewebs, and have it under a .tk address.

This site will help you in some places, have a look around and search buttons if you need to.

It needs a 'Reset' button.

If by 'background' noise, you mean poor quality recordings, then that's generally the audio's fault.

Ahem?:

Making 2 threads about the 1 topic is a no-no on the NGBBS.

The thread you're talking about WolfAkela would be the one Glaiel made showing AS3 ability. Although I'm pretty sure that he only showed it, and not give everyone the code. Even with hte .swf, no decompiler can decompile in AS3.

Does the forum support HTML, or the other code (I can't remember what it's called, the one with the Bold)?
Does the forum support .swf files?

Response to: help Posted June 6th, 2007 in Game Development

You need to be more specific. Is it actionscript?, type of symbol etc...

Response to: Mario collab Posted June 6th, 2007 in Game Development

No offense mate, you can even ignore this post if you want, but the whole 'mario collab' thing's been done couple of times before.

Response to: Converting Video to Flash Files for Posted June 6th, 2007 in Game Development

Is the file you've ended up with a '.swf' or a '.flv'?
.flv has the movie control like YouTube, You can use Riva FLV Encoder change the .avi file.

Although I'm no expert on this area of flash.

You realise that being a 'sponser' includes giving out 'money', or some sort of payment.
And what the hell does the CS:S link have anything to do with it?

Response to: Rate my site Posted June 6th, 2007 in Game Development

Change the colour scheme, preferably to something darker, so it's easier on the eyes.
Download a font , that or use something OTHER than Times New Roman.
Have a sense of 'style', the layout and design is poor.
If you can, centre your flash so it's in the middle of the page.
Make the buttons more stylish too.

Response to: Help on loading Flash Posted June 6th, 2007 in Where is / How to?

Do you mean loading as in 'Loading bar is taking too long'? - That would be internet problems.
Or if it's just a blank screen/space, then most probably you should try installing the flash player add-on.

Response to: audio levels Posted June 6th, 2007 in Game Development

If you mean like a 'scope' in the MS Media player, then I do believe that Glaiel knows how to in AS3.
Other than that, just really advanced AS.

Response to: Questions Posted June 6th, 2007 in Game Development

To edit the preloader, double click on the symbol to enter and edit it.

To add sound, go to : File > Import > To stage / To library.

Response to: Taking sound out of a clip? Posted June 6th, 2007 in Game Development

More of a 'video editor' job. But I'm pretty sure that there's an option (When you import it) to split the audio and video onto different layers, thus deleting one of them will remove the sound.

Response to: Rate my site Posted June 6th, 2007 in Game Development

It's basic. You got all the AS down, now you should REALLY focus on your art.
