So don't think that discrimination laws help everyone from being discriminated against, there is no law against "discrimination" but rather specific types of discrimination I.E. racial discrimination,sexual discrimination, discrimination based on national origin, religious discrimination,

I have an Idea lets require all marriages to be approved by the commonwealth of the state if you wish to get married then simply petition to get your your proposed marriage on the ballot, if the majority decide not to ban your marriage then you can marry if the majority vote against your marriage then you two can never marry.

Seriously I don't see why they can't marry if it is not recognized by the state then they can still be ceremonially married, The only difference is they don't get the tax right off, they can't see each other in a hospital emergency room(only family can , right?). I mean what's the big deal
