What is the best program to make trance/techno/ambient/drum N bass type music?
im not to adept with all the different music making projects, but for that group id have to say fruity loops. i may be wrong though, as i dont know them all

how do i change the view so that in the stage, i see a white square that is what will become the movie surrounded by a gray out of bounds area, all i see is just all white everywhere and i dont know where the boundaries start and stop, and also, is there any way to make this out of bounds area on top of everything?

and only 1k to the portal daily...once agin the audio portal needs more advertisemet, in adition to a better voting system, so all of us starving artists...musiscians can get our reviews without advertising constantly as an advertising whore

when you go to make a song, how do you do it?
when you go to make a song, do you use inspiration from something, use a thought up melody, create a song as you go, just mess around to create a song etc.
me personally, i just mess around on fruity loops with different things to make songs. on a few of my songs though i just used a loose theme to make songs.
for my v 2 rocket songs, a friend of myn just said *make a v 2 rocket song* and i went and made one, without anything but that.

Hell, I don't even know much about the Audio Portal. I don't think many people do.
thats true, i heard that less than 1/1000 of the newgrounds traffic is to the audio portal...
of course there are 500k plus visiters everyday so thats about 500 people, no
i do think they need more emphasis on the audio portal too, but then we would have an even larger 0 vote population to screw over our hard worked on songs(like my v 2 rocket remix, could you go review that for me)
and if they keep it the same, aspiring artists like me wont get the feedback they need. look at me trying to advertise my song in a totally unrelated response!(remeber v 2 rocket remix, thats the best)

acctaully everyone who has posted in this topic has most likely thought of that, but nothing seems to have happenned so far , obviously i think there might be a problem with this, or newgrounds might have done it already(or they are just lazy :p)
Though unfair. The goal of a voting system is to let you voice your opinion. And if you're going to have a limit on the amount of votes you can make, that's a little bit.. unequal. Right?
is it really an opinion if you go around voting zero on every song so your peice of crap can stay on top.... though unfair, changes are nessesary to stop people from doing this

i just got an idea on how to fix the voting system-
there should be a limit to each number you could vote on a song.
1 0 a day
2 1a a day
3 2s
4 3s
5 4s
and 6 5s a day
as denvish stated, there are very few songs that acctaully deserve a zero(i think it was him)
though this idea may totaly suck, i was just brainstorming here

piepie, after reviewing your songs i looked back, and realized after every time i listened to a song, it reset my browser and the songs were put in different positions, so all the reviews are for the wrong songs...oops...

its been a day and no one has even downloaded it, and iv been advertising it like crazy as well as reviewing other peoples stuff, it would be appreciated, as this is(in my opinion) my best work yet! ittook me over a week

you know, i had the same problem, so you know what i did, i just deleted itunes. all itunes is is a big advertisement, if you dont wanna delete it though, try fiddeling around with the itunes options or something. maybe there is an option that converts all songs to itunes songs bydefault, that could be your problem

What I said is that you can advertise, but you have to review, you can't sit back and expect it to happen.

You can't sit back and wait for someone to review your material, that's just what you and just about everyone else is thinking, you can only get a lot of reviews if you initiate them.
erkie, the way the audio portal works makes it a nessesity to advertise. There are tens of thousands of songs in each category, and unless the first few people review with perfect scores, it will get bumped, sadly, down the list, where the chances of review are slim if none...

ok...after the attemp to remake Dances with guitars 1(DWG), i got sidetracked and made a new song altogether. the begining sounds pretty beautiful to me, like iv heard it before somewhere, i just cant figure this out. who knows, maybe there is a theme to another song in here, what are the chances of that lol(pretty good with my luck).
anyways go check it out, the beat is rather lame, and it sounds kinda like a "still nash crosby and young" song to me, but i just dunno.(keep in mind i created this in like 30 minutes)
