hehehe...
it brilliant people like me who get all the reviews :p
(or people whos music doesnt suck.... *sigh*)
you know, for the last few days i have been confused with crons anti remix being unique posts, but then i realized thats not what he actually meant. then i realized it was my own stupidity and inability to comprehend my own posts that led to this meaningless debate. It's kinda hard to have a debate when both people agree..., and look at what happened now, iv been splatted!
anyways what i really came here to say is that johnny beat responded to that abusive reviews with one of the most inventive comebacks i have ever heard.
-congratulations! you managed to be a complete DICK while reviewing my FIRST TRACK. every heard of "constructive criticism"? Funny, everyone else seemed to like it, and everyone else has also managed to make music. so, let's hear some of your stuff mr.composer. you're the epitome of a hypocrite, and maybe im overdoing this, cause i know im going to have to get used to cockbreath fucks like you, but why dont you try not being such a prick when you dish out your shallow, narrow-minded opinions next time you talk about someone's music.
thank you for reviewing =)
"cockbreath fucks" was my particular favorite from this excerpt - i rolled on the ground for 5 minutes
why dont you go check out my v 2 rocket remix.
its pretty hardcore(actually i dont knw what hardcore techno is)
well atleast it has an evil part in it, and evils kinda like hardcore?ok maybe not. could you review it for me though :p

hey we all start somewhere :p
At 5/11/05 05:13 PM, Erkie wrote: Yep, got all three of them mr. disorganized.
well atleast you got 3 of them, i sent like 20,
p.s.-when copying and pasting usernames in parenthese, cut out the parenthisese, then i finally fixed that and sent in the wrong song! then i went to send in the real song and i didnt attach it before sending it! then i sent that in. and just so you know, the song is {depressed mix} if i sent 2 then its the longer one, and just a bit of advice, make sure you use an email composer that shows the adress, and whats attached, becuase for some reason all the text boxes truned out as grey boxes for me and i could only type without any knowledge of what i was typing...
anyways does anhyone know how to fix the grey boxes thing?
At 5/11/05 04:26 PM, Chronamut wrote: sorry bjra erkie JUST went offline hahaha...
hell be back...eventually....*sigh*
erkie, i am wondering if you got my email(s) with my contest entry in it, i had trouble the first 3 emails, as i got them sent back to me. could you just tell me whether you got it or not?
i submitted the final version of the {depressed mix}, if that helps at all
At 5/10/05 09:32 PM, Julianzzzzz wrote: What's the deal with all the emo haters? Music is music, and there's no real reason to hate emo music. So why the hate?
becuase people are hard heD$ who cant accept music they dont like. their are some styles of music i like, and didnt like a while ago. It is relativly pointless to argue about which types of music that are good.
in my opinion, their are two things that scientificly determine whether or not you enjoy music.
1st of all, the sounds have to have a definite tone, that means when the sounds play together they do not mix to create destructive interference. Destructive interference is when two (sound) waves combine togther and and form a smaller outcome wave. Sounds with definite tone, which is tones that follow the pianos tones (they dont go into pitch that is between the scale set for the song), when sombined together, form constructive interference, where the outcome wave is larger than before.
The human ear recognizes constructicve interfernce as "good" and destructive interference as "bad"
secondly, the major determination of whether someone likes a song is the mental connotation they rec ieve from hearing the song. This is where people have discrepincies. Its not that some music is good or bad, its that some people find music good, and some people find music bad, that just how it is.
and in response to people who hate music, they should just go back to whatever music they like and leave what they dont like alone. enough said.

hey thx dude :p
Feel free to review some of my songs...I dont have any thing new, but the old stuff is pretty good.
i just did, you have some pretty good/creative ones there :p
how do i code my sig so where it says "audio joint" it is a clickable link that leads to that forum?
ok - iv just emailed my contest entry, hopefully it will reach you, if not blame canada, ok im just joking, post here to inform me.
dude, instead of posting new topic, try to keep all your comments in one topic, people will still see it
At 5/9/05 09:41 PM, Chronamut wrote:(remixes arent unique)
lol remixing is unique, you take someone elses ideas and build off of it.
for example: two houses made with a concrete base and concrete walls can have entirely different interiors, catch my drift :p
At 5/10/05 05:10 PM, Erkie wrote: Yeah, no kidding, just about every thread you post in the past couple of days you advertised the remix.
Nice job, for an advertising whore.
DAM! i didnt expect such a huge response from my advertising!!!
haha it payed off didnt it :p

You talked about your song there...it's easily possible peopel who viewed that thread DLed your song. It wasn't like a 200-500 DL jump. I highly doubt there is a glich in the Audio Portal.
lol i didnt realize 70 people veiwed that thread. well that answers my question
About 3 days ago the download count for my song (Bjra - V-2 rocket {Remix}), was about 13. in 3 days the downloads jumped to about 80 or 90, after a week of getting just twelve. i didnt advertise that much, and im thinking something weird happened.
i find it hard to beleive 70 people went and listened to my song, which wasnt at the front of the audio portal new list, and had a rating of 3.4 (dam 0 voters...), and was only advertised in the audio bbs, which is low traffic, and in one post in the flash forums. Maybe something went wrong or something. i just dont know.
At 5/10/05 04:35 PM, Erkie wrote: Can't you just AIM someone about this?
thx, and anyways, what is aiming and how can i do it?
i want to remove one song from my list of songs, so i can upload the complete version later, does anyone know who i should email, or contact to do this. an email adress would be apprreciated.

:Kick ass. Well, I'm gonna get back to reviewing...
hey mineworker, i know how much you enjoyed the v 2 rocket 2 so i think you might like the fact that there is a remix now, i hope you enjoy it as much as the first one.
...doesnt sound like someone who's angry to me. Sounds like a piece of univentive, randomly glued together sounds and beats that are so booooooring.
The trk sounds empty, disjointed and totally lacks any ooomph. And the 'begin' vocal at the start, did u think that would sound cool, hahahha!
:Fast paced it may be, but c'mon, it's so empty and lacking any soul that anyone could have made it, where's the personalitly
that dudes a dickhead(pardon my rash language), its people like him, that only give general complaints, no contructive advice and insult your music, that make me mad.
:"this sounds boring, track sounds empty, disjointed, lacking sounds"
WTF? how could anyone use that review to better their song.
:"anyone could have made that"
comon! thats just the biggest put down i ever heard. he needs to realize that all music is unique(unless its stolen or a remix lol) and that with advice, practice, and the absense of ignorant reviewers, anyone could become a great musician and make really good song. we just cant cut those people down in their "infant" stage

To elaborate on my first post, is your typical PC mic sufficient for recording a demo? I have some audio editing software which i assume comes in handy in terms of bumping up the quality. Is there anything i'd need on top of that?
im not extremly adept into voice recording, i did do a couple crappy songs once. but from what iv heard, the quality of the recordings is mainly dependent on how good the microphone is. to get really good quality recording, you need like a 50 dollar high quality microphone. Other than that, im not really sure what else helps
At 5/9/05 04:03 PM, Erkie wrote: Pretty atmospherical. Good job. Quite different from your other works, you've definitely picked up on a style I like.
-thx, but of course this isnt anywhere near what i want the final outcome to be. i did make this rather quickly. i enjoy the atmosphere i acheived, yet the beat is bland, and it feels like im missing something. do you have any ideas i can use to exemplify an accompaniement to the "gray part" as you call it :p.
-if you didnt quite understand that, what i mean is i want to somehow incorperate a theme or something into the darker middle part, and i dont know what to add or do, and i need ideas from people. also, i plan to shorten shorten the bright cheery parts to make them seem more like an intro and an outtro then the bulk of the song-
-whew, the explanation of the explanation was longer then the explanation!
Bjra = My successor?
-w00w00, sweet, but my music isnt nearly as good as urs :p
-and what i meant by hard left turn is the choppy transition to the "gray" part i wanna fix.
man i feel smart after using all those big words-
now i gotta go lie down, my head hurts lol
i just uploaded my {depressed mix} i made in a depressed mood, and i feel happy now(lol) but anyways, i think it counds pretty cool, i just have no idea where to take it to, and i need review on what to do.
