Assign the Audio to a mixer channel. This way you can mute that on or off whenever you like. You could assign them all individual channels so you can adjust levels and names to have precise editing over them.

lol his post was in 06. audio clip support is much better now

----------------

Fruity loops would pwn all if it wernt for one reason in my books.

No VST Midi inserts. So if you have a secondary program that works as an insert in an existing VST fruity loops doesn't support it. However, cubase does.

I hate cubase's Pianoroll/sequencer though. Fruity loops looks much better IMO, very organised.

fruity loops is much more organized, but as a result of how its set up it takes TEN TIMES LONGER TO MAKE ANYTHING! in cubase you don't have to mess around in patterns. the patterns are effectively right there on cubases sequencer. it simply takes longer to understand lol

Reason... that's just a friggin mess lol. :P and no VST support...Seriously WTF...

keeping old debate threads alive ftw

Response to: Fruity Loops vs. Reason and Cubase Posted November 25th, 2008 in Audio

lol it is quite apparent to me of the distinct differences between cubase and fl. the biggest fucking difference after using both for 5 years is this.

becuase of the workflow in cubase compared to fl you can

1) make songs about 5 times faster, dead fucking serious
2) completely rearrange a track with utter ease.
3) completely change whole parts of a song in about 1/10 of the time it would take you to mess around in all the fl patterns.

cubase is set up much like reason in that arranging your song is EASY and doesnt require the use of patterns as a medium, which is slow and tedius. the midi patterns are right there on cubase's "playlist editor", and you can do all your editing from there, and edit midi parts by double clicking on the midi part in the playlist editor.

granted cubase has MUCH less in the box that fl, but get some damned vst's and quit moaning lol.
also, cubase is heavy on the fucking cpu. 1 gig of ram here, 1.8 ghz single core and I often find myself lagging with 8+ vst's in use.

oh yeha cubase takes months or years to learn :P

so whoever that fucking idiot who started this thread. FUCK you and stay in the past :3

Perhaps you should post a solution to px9's problem here as well.... it might help THIS topic.

lol the solution is incredibly simple. paraginx9 is not fully present while he's making music. most musicins aren't. whta does this mean, when you are making your songs, you are actually inside your head thinking thoughts, while peripherally making the song.

a common manifestation of this is the feeling that your song isnt good enough. the mix is bad. you've ran out of idea's and it feels like you are at the end of a game you've played through many times

what is the solution, become fully present during the production process.

alright, whatever tempo feels right should suffice. maybe it will beh a slow house song

Make Me A Porn Groove Guitar Clip Posted November 21st, 2008 in Audio

here is the example:
http://www.mediafire.com/?lxmmyvn3yd9

It isn't synced to any tempo. turn your metronome to 140 bpm, and record to that. be sure to give it that vintage 70's sound. lots of wah pedal.

I will credit you in the song I make with it :)

upload to media fire in wav or mp3 320 kbps

lol from the perspective of most musicians basshunter is awful. from the mainstreams perception, he's the hottest thing around the dance scene.

now tell me, what are we trying to do here, impress a small community of musicians or become mainstream.

lol is it possible to do both these days anymore?

you can go to 500 different artists and find completely different methods.

basshunter wacks his dick against the mouse and keyboard

tiesto jacks off into a conch shell, and puts it up to his ear for inspiration

its all about knowing why YOU make music. are you doing it to get attention, make awesome songs, get fans, enjoy the process. whatever it is, focus on this intensely while making your song and your product will reflect your goal.

Which artists here get producers block from time to time?

any artists here never seem to get writer's block, music always seems to come?

anyone here never be able to finish anything?

anyone here always able to finish everything?

anyone here seem to ahve hangups whenever they are making a song, i.e. the mix gets ruined, you get bored, you think its not good enough, etc.
