number one is a terrific example of the gfact taht most people listen to music on cheap pc speakers with zero bass.

it actually sounds pretty good on pc speakers.

i think people who mostly vote 5 vote if the song grabs their attention. number 1 does just that :)

I do use cubase. for almost 3 years now.

Cubase is much faster than fl. I make songs like 8 times faster. fl studio 4 that is. which is the last version I used when i moved to cubase 3 XD

but after learning how to use envelopes, LFOs and unison/delay in 3xosc, you can pretty much take that skill and use it for most other synths, since most other synths also have these features, they are the basics, you gotta have them down before you can think of going into FM/AM synthesis and the rest.

to tell you guys the truth, I got my oscilator sense from countless hours messing around in vangaurd. never learned 3xosc. there is more than one way to do everything. by being so rigid you are scaring off noobies! they could make great music one day :(

One snag.

Your speakers call for XLR or TRS, and the cables you linked are clearly neither of those.

would this solve the problem?

Thanks for all the help so far!

after deliberation I'm starting to settle on these:

m audio mobile-pre

M-audio Studiophile bi-amplified speakers

cheap-o condenser m-audio mic

speaker pads (my desk is a monster lul)

and some nice cables

nice DCA cablez

I think it will be pretty sexy for what I'm doing. Thanks again!
