Hi!

I'm a producer and I can make you theme songs in a variety of styles. I can make you anything you want and really hit the mark. I've been producing for over 6 years and have done composition projects with around 5 people so far, with all relatively satisfied customers.

if you are needing music, hit me up!

I'm not a noob and it's still a pain in the ass.

mastering becomes quite easy later on. its very confusing even after you have done it for a long time. until you are able to keep a clear vision during mastering, then it becomes easy sailing

when you make the same exact beat with variations on generic chord progressions enough times, you are guaranteed to hit number 1 eventually.

I'm trying to decide on whether to take the break, or just push through it and get back to basics.

this may in fact be a symptom of the problem itself. you are turning it into black and white, 2 options. there are SO many options possible dont limit yourself to 2.

try this, choose the third option. take some time to practice getting new sounds, and mixes. make a couple of projects where you try to duplicate the main feel of multiple different genres. this should crack your egg wide open and give you some track frames you can them extrapolate into your style.

think of it this way, pro tracks are usually surprisingly simple and usually only take the producer several hours to do most of the work. the trick is actually doing the work and making the right decisions.

Really the bottom line is you have gotten into habits as a producer that you do every time you go to "make a song" but you recently have gotten that feeling of being able to produce a song a lot recently. so what has happened is by anchoring you have literally anchored that feeling of not being able to produce a song to the act of producing a song.

very simple ways to change this,

1) move your studio setup to a different wall in your room.
2) get up at 5 am and produce every day.
3) switch programs and DO NOT switch back for a month
4) force yourself to create and release a song or 2 a week. no matter what
5) try to remix songs you really like and make it sound exactly like that song.

These are all designed to snap that conditioned response that you get when you normally go to produce a song by changing the habitual patterns you most likely have anchored the feeling of inability to create with (NLP)

cheers!
