they don't look nearly as bad as all those guitar chords you hear in dem rock musics. Atleast i have dignity in my creations

Consequently, I'm removing all my work on Monday evening 6pm GMT and fuck you all very much indeed you bunch of immature, talentless, brain-dead, soulless plagiarists.
what you dont realize is the poor malnourished child in albania who heard your song and was inspired to start making music. he would have never heard it if you didn't upload your song here
I think I may attempt to create a template like this.
A cubase/fl studio file where you merely select your individual samples, and everything is routed into the "drum real-izer".
I'm surprised there hasn't been a vst like this created yet, where you route the individual hit signals, and it outputs the 8 virtualized drum room signals, virtualizing the 3d room, room acoustics(perhaps you could select a separate reverb of your choice that the vst routes to, and it also compensates for delay based on the positions of the drum hit sounds. it would, perhaps, have a 3d rotateable image where you could actually move the instruments around, and the various sounds would be represented by their respective real life counterparts. The stereo micing too could be acheived like this, but calculations and modeling would need to be done to calculate how the hits would sound differently through each mic.
If this vst were created, though, and it were good, you could take virtually anys et of samples and make them seem much mroe dynamic, wide and real.
The problem with the quality sampled drums is very simple, each hit is recorded by itself. you don't get that dynamic, realistic bleed, and the "bleed" channel is usually a crappy room reverb.
until that vst comes out though, I am going to attempt to create a template which attempts to prototype create this sound. for electronic artists, you can always tell the drums sound virtual, and in many cases they get the sound just right and it sounds good, it doesnt sound the same as that vintage drumkit micing sound that just sounds so crisp and real.
I am currently trying to figure out how I make drums sound more realistic and dynamic.
I want to move away from throwing a usually mono drum loop preset into a track, and opt to make these drums sound more realistic, and dynamic, like when you record a real drum kit.
You mic every instrument in the kit separately, and there are two overhead mics which pic up mainly symbols. the real reason this setup sounds so incredibly good is the bleed.
This simply creates that super wide, realistic sounding drum kit. My question is, how could we emulate this recording process electronically?
We have all the individual drum hits, and we can easily route each individual instrument to its own channel, and create bleed reveerb channels and send each channel to the bleed channel, but when it comes to emulating the bleedthrough on every channel, we hit a snag. the sound is different on every mic, so just sending the snare signal for example to every other channel doesn't work. those other mics, in real life, would hear the same instrument but it would sound different based on its position. This is why if we routed the two overhead mics by routing the signals, they would be the exact same and would sound mono.
My question is how can we virtualize and emulate the real drum sound electronicly.

I would love to take one of his files and just poke my nose through it. As my goal is to ultimately have complete knowledge and control over everything that involves the stereo field so that I can basically take any concept I cook up and inject it into a song.
Yeah he prolly chose a stereo piano vst, a nice stereo reverb, stereo delay, and the drum samples sound stereo. the effects use also sound nice and stereo. but I imagine this is a symptom of choosing stereo effects, not actually mixing and recording he stuff himself.
if you want to sound stereo, choose stereo samples. You can "make" mono signals stereo effectively. When you wanted something in stereo, you have to dual mic it. when electronic music came out it tended to be very mono because most vsts and synths were mono. eventually tho, sample companies began releasing wide drum samples, and vst makers started released vst synths with wide stereo sounds.

ill be honest, eric pryds stuff sounds stereo but it seems to me like he used stereo presets and stereo vec drums. I doubt he intentionally tried to make his songs stereo otehr than using stereo samples and stereo presets. not much panning going on in his tracks
no THIS is a good production. Listen to how crisp the vocals are and how tightly compressed the drums are
is this some sort of joke?

please tom enlighten me.
For example if a specific community (such as the Audio Portal, which could really use a dedicated programmer) is able to raise enough money on an annual basis, they could fund a full-time employee to work on their part of the site.
There are other areas where people could help too. For example we're looking into solar panels on the roof of the building. I have no idea what the quote will be for the cost... But let's say it will cost $100,000. The government grant pays 30%, which leaves us paying for $70,000. Theoretically the expense would be paid back after 6 years of energy-savings and NG would be more financially stable long-term as a result so it could be worth the investment either way... but it would be kinda neat if 2000 people each chipped in $35, and got some "NG Green Initiative Stage 1" badge that shows they were part of it, and NG didn't have to incur a short-term expense which cuts into the present budget for other things.
DO THIS! If you guys at Ng want to make a sweet newgrounds/youtube video explaining some of these ideas and encouraging people to donate, I'll donate my time to make sweet background music.
These are FANTASTIC ideas, and I would be more than willing to handle the audio of these videos. I could compress the vocals, make everything sound awesome and proffessional, and create some inspirational music.

paragonx9 and b0unc3. I remember when my fat teen self first stumbled upon the audio portal and I stared in awe of the gorgeous diamond and platinum discs that b0unc3 and paragonx9 had and dreamt that I too one day would acheive that level of e-penis faggotry.
Thats why I upload the vintage diamond disc for every one of my songs ;)
