you can't please everybody. Judge your own music against the music you want to sound like. Not what other people say about your music. problem solved. Most people have no idea about music theory, or sound design. Many people talk as if they do though every day.

How To *properly Make Skrillex Bass Posted December 31st, 2011 in Audio

yesterday I watched a 30 minute tutorial on vimeo of some doosh making a skrillex bass. 30 minutes later he failed miserably with only a slightly similar sound.

Today I found a unlisted video on youtube where some kid does in in about 2 minutes properly.

I already have accepted that this video will unleash a torrent of skrillex style basslines onto newgrounds. I think this will be a positive thing imo

have fun

Response to: Boostin Volume Without Compression? Posted October 13th, 2011 in Audio

here you go:

put a limiter on the kick, add a few decibels of gain with a swift release, 15-20 ms. lower the volume of everything else slightly

problem solved in about 2 seconds

Listen to more music. Stop trying to make music for a while and just listen to a a lot of music you enjoy listening to. This has solved many a perceived writers block for me. A lot of times composers will be making music with all their free time and lose touch with the enjoyment of listening to Theiler favorite music that got them composing in the first place

yes. go to the fl studio website. Download and install the demo. make your tempo changes, export the wav or mp3. Done.

No need to spend anything. uninstall the demo of fl after.

There's really no easier way to go about the process

You could start auctioning off days to the highest bidder, drawing their idea for a dick. You could turn this into a money making scheme

3 days in a row now, despite feeling like shit for the last two. I can probably do this!

If you go all the way for 365 days I will compose you a song. Let this bbs post be my declaration, point me to it in 365 days. I don't think you'll do it everyday for a year

Also, band pics are fun. We are going to record our next show on Tuesday and put it on youtube!

very happy with the nomination this year. Xkore has actually been an inspiration to me with his sheer work ethic. and he is a far better dubstep producer than I, with his own unique sound.

He is truly excelling in his nitch through his tireless work ethic. He is a good example of someone who makes a new flp every single day and only releases the coolest ideas.

His demo projects are indicative of someone who is constantly creating new materiel which I can appreciate at a craftsmanship level and he deserves the tank award every bit.

congratulations xkore!
