I'm a member in a site which is mainly a forum (I'm not going to mention it's name if you wanna know).
As I said, the site is mostly a forum, with a foreign languages IMDB like system (including covers, actors info and more).
The site grew up out of an other community who broke up with itself about 4 years ago.
For 2 years now this forum has an admin who does whatever he wants with it, he made the forum his world (Although he signed up 1 day before I did) and he fixes his little ball suckers and friends major parts in modding it and so on... and whoever sees what he's doing, he silently rapes under the table, same with whoever act against his word (something like Saddam). We'll call him Tommy.
3 months ago he took a little break, probably a fake one so people won't think he's taking the site for himself, an other administrator was signed to the job and he gave me the job of moderating the off-topic forum (called "Freedom of Speech" in there) I tried the best I could in keeping the forum clean of spam, and keeping it civilized simultaneously allowing people to speak their minds without getting flamed or trolled.
The Computers section mod is a 21 years old guy, one of the oldest and last remains of straight thinking in the site. (We'll call him Willie)
One day, the Gamers forum (Gamers forum in the Computer section BTW) mod probably got bored and decided to take someone of a fight, he picked Willie and harassed him for about a week everywhere he could, Willie kicked him out of duty and in the "Thanks you XXXX for filling your duty at Gamers forum" thread, a guy (One of the main admin's ball suckers) called Willie "Miserable piece of shit", he got banned for 500 hours and got a major rank off his ass by one of the 2nd in commands, Tommy saw that his little ball suckers is getting pounded, released the ban and gave him his rank back, Willie banned him by himself and Tommy took the ban off instantly.
Willie told him he isn't willing to stay in duty as long as he's in control and Tommy banned the guy who cussed him for 2 days (INSTEAD OF 500 HOURS - 12 DAYS) just to make him stay, he quited anyway in a big injustice.. And since then the X-Gamers mod is harassing each and every one of Willie's friends via trying to flame and so on... Tommy said that he doesn't want anyone banning him without his permission (claiming he pissed of 90% of the mods - true).
After Willie quit, the guy who called him "Miserable piece of shit" became the Gamers forum mod and Tommy opened a personal crusade against Willie for covering some dirt on him, he banns whoever stands with him or supporting him by any means.
2 days ago the Art forum mod opened a thread in my forum calling Willie to come back, making stickers so people could put them in their sigs.
These are the sig regulations: One signature, not larger than 350x250, 3 lines in regular size and a banner.
22 people put the Willie stickers in their sigs, 7 of them were forum mods, including me. He banned each and every one of them under the claim "Aberrant signature".
The Art forum mod got him in a MSN conversation with me and Willie, he said that Willie caused all of this by not making it stop (no, he doesn't have to be a mod, but he has to post in the forum) and he's responsible for the bannings.
If you think of what happened.. 22 people put a banned in their sigs, they didn't break the rules did they?
He didn't know who I am, only after a hour of talking when he figured out by himself. He told me my 'modding level' is one of the worst he saw because I allowed this thing to happen (I allowed someone to say he wants Willie back, nothing more!) kicked me out of modding and sticked a temporal IP ban on my user.

Tell me now, is it right to kick and IP ban a mod who did the best he could with the forum "Freedom of Speech" for letting someone say he want some X-mod who everyone agree he quited without a reason to get back on modding? I don't think it is...

We got 3 guys at the site security, they virtually have the entire system in their hands and they can do whatever they want with it, the only 3 who ever managed to hack into the site.
2 of them hate Tommy and are like me, sick of him involving personal matters in running the forum, I don't know about the other one.
I spoke with the 7 mods he banned about the banned, and more mods I know in there, we all agreed we quit modding together, at monday, the guy from the site security will fix us with immunity of bans and an undelete, move or lockable sticky thread, in which we are going to say exactly why we quit, and show the entire site Tommy's rotten jurisdiction, in hope of making a small revolution, making even the smallest members want him out.
