dreamweaver is for making websites.... cold fusion is something to do with website stuff or the internet or something... fireworks is for making pictures and stuff... and freehand, i believe, is another imaging program... so no, you gotta do it in flash. fireworks has the ability to export to .swf, but it still isn't a program you want to use to make movies. you might wanna use it to make your pics, then import them into flash, but that's about it.

and about you re-downloading flash, i'm not sure, but i think flash will know if you've already gone through the 30-day trial, even if you download and install a new copy. go to astalavista.com and search for a flash crack, use it to "crack" flash and eliminate the 30 day trial.

draw your button, then select it and press F8. F8 is the shortcut key to the "convert to symbol" function (and a button is a symbol - the other two symbols are graphics and movieclips). select button in the box and press enter. your drawing is now a button.

right click your new button and select Actions. the actions box pops up. find the action "Play" in the frame to the left. it should be under Movie Control or something. when you find it, double click it to add it to your buttons actions list. you may have to use the goTo action though.. it all depends on how you have things set up. experiment with it, it's easy stuff.

haha.. that's actually pretty damn funny. notice, it is called a "flash movie", not a "microsoft paint movie". use macromedia's flash, you can download a trial of the latest version here. haha, and don't tell me you've been trying to make movies with coffee cup's gif animator too.. that's hilarious. no, you can't add sound using that, it makes .gif's. the only program you can use is flash.

wait - the fan net one? i've never seen a custom version of the fan net one... but then again, i never go to any of the fan net sites. i've seen custom versions of the netwerk sites though... what did you do, create the .fla from scratch? or do you get the .fla when you join? i'm betting the netwerk guys do, on account of how they're higher up and all. but if you did get the .fla upon signing up, it should already have the ranking bit in it, in a variable.

you better not be requesting any of those... especially stuff like wolfenstein or duke nukem. remaking a video game - especially if you mean the entire thing - is a HUGE project, and flash only has so many capabilities.

frame by frame. motion tweening the entire xiao xiao movie would be one hell of a pain in the ass.

do you mean the movie's fps (frames per second)? because if so, i am wondering just what the hell you are thinking. your fps should be no bigger than 24 or 26 for it to look good.

but if you mean the amount of frames in your movie... i don't know what you can do. personally, i would load the rest of it into the movie as a seperate .swf.

nirvana is amazing, i have much respect for them, and i miss kurt cobain... i think nirvana is one of the most respectable bands out there. my favorite songs by them are all apologies, heart shaped box, come as you are, drain you, dumb, in bloom, lithium, on a plain, polly, stay away,... and my favorite song by them - smells like teen spirit - i consider it to be the best song ever.

greenday is my favorite band though. there isn't a song by them i don't like, and they're great performers. unlike a lot of the crappy bands out there today, they aren't selling out. they're still going strong, and they're definitely in it for the music.

the beatles... i also really like the beatles. no, they are not overrated. they came up with some really good and original music, and you have to respect them as they did it all themselves. especially some of their later work, songs like come together are great. the lyrics are amazing.
