Sam, so in other words, you hate them, because they have a fan base?
No. I say it because I have witness tons of those videos, and it becomes less interesting. Where are the fresh ideas? Apparently, it's MIA.
So, you hate them because they stick with what they know, and have a fan base because of it.
Either way deal with it.
I repeat, don't do so they will notice.
Do it because you like it.
Stop bitching about their flashes and make your own, get your own fan base.
I got 1, 31 people, 3 of them biased, not much, but I got a fanbase, but I don't care how many people like it, I do it because I enjoy what I do (hint hint).
In other related news, I've thought of several rpg ideas and I'd seriously like to get in contact with Namco Bandai and discuss some ideas on I get my degree.
Are you really going to do that and take it lightly?
Who said I'm taking it lightly?
And if I was, why should I take it seriously, it's just a thought. I'm too inexperienced to take it seriously anyway.
If this is something anyone can do, I would submit my design documents of my highly creative ideas to Nintendo, submit my RPG ideas to any company known for great RPGs, and especially submit my ideas and concepts to Sonic Team on improving the franchise as well as begging my characters to be official.
Thats all possible, you just need to make a decent arguement on your ideas and concepts, not to mention patent your ideas. I remember when I was 11 and I sent a letter to Sega concerning a game idea I had, and it would have made it if I patented it.
Here is reality for you. EVERYONE HAS IDEAS!!
No shit!?
Sam, you don't like people underestimating your intelligence, don't insult mine.
It is the matter on industry experience as well as the industry's trust. In other words, you really have to be known towards game companies in the field of professional game development, and it is not easy considering there are TONS of people with game ideas, and major companies have the desire to not screw up!
People know a good idea when they see one, this I know from experience. A good story, concept, and base will catch anyone's attention.
I've been told that I'm a great story teller, from many people, both professionals and unprofessionals.
If you want their attention, you must think more of a businessperson than an artist.
"Artist" is one step away from a "Business man".
You must provide someway to convince your ideas will not break companies.
Not really, like I said, if the idea is worth any merit, they'll take it.
You will understand it better if you have education on how the industry works, mainly on development.
So, I don't understand it? Is that what you're saying?
Trust me when I mention it takes more than just ideas and a few weeks to make games.
Shit Sam, why are you talking to me like I'm 7!?
I know that. I know what is needed to make a game dammit.
If you don't believe me, check this out! At least for us both, we have the desire and devotion for games, and that is someone most companies would like to see on their employees. I know a lot of people making games just for money, and I keep saying that it is not a good way to make money. At the end, yes, you will make a lot of money, but consider the cost of development, electricity, goods, and other stuff. Plus, the money produced has to be depended on the quality and entertainment and appeal of the game to the consumers. It is just like any other multimedia jobs. Businesspeople who desire money should look into something that is more realiable like produce. For those who desire the pleasure out of the career, anyone have to be devoted to it. In fact, the most successful game developers would even make games beyond the industry, such as creating a game not for profit.
I don't need to go to that link, I read things about game design all the time, trust me, I know.
It's a goal to make games professionally, because I really want to express my creative ideas to others in games, much like an author writing stories to others. I have no desire for wealth or early retirement. In fact, I will never stop making game or produce ideas even after my death! That is how dedicated I am with games. I never lie that I am devoted to games since the age of five, desire to make game since six, and have tons of ideas and concepts since then.
sigh.
Sam, why consider being employed by a big time game company, you can easily work your way to the top if you have enough patience, or you could be a contracted designer like the guy who made Resident Evil, or even you could make your own software company, get a loan, learn the steps, get the equipment, get some new people, yourself included, project a game, see it through, hope for the best, there are many ways to get into the game business, it's not limited to getting some entry-level designer job, you think too narrow here.
Start small, work your way up.
Why work to be accepted my the big dogs, when you can become one by your own standards.
However, the majority never believes about my life, my devotion, and other parts of me. Instead, they decided to assume my life as if I am some unknown character in a story. This is the reason why I must go beyond! I never want anyone to lie about my life! It is like assuming every muslin to be a potential terrorist! How do you like for the majority to run over you like a doormat? Is it completely impossible to understand or even listen to everyone? Such selective hearing are as pathetic as the entire world!
People base general groups that they aren't associated with by media-esque stereotypes, you're not the only victim here, I'm black, you know what people say about my race, because they don't know that there are decent black guys like me around, because they base black youth by stereotype, and everyone in the country should know how the media sees us. So deal with it, everyone in the world isn't and don't want to know you. It's apart of life, if you want to become famous, then go for it. It doesn't always work, and not everyone has what it takes, but remember to do what you like, because you like to do it.
In case you didn't know, I do have a small fanbase. Only these people understands and, more importantly, believes in me.
Then why isn't that enough?
Why is it that the closest ones are the ones that believes in me instead of the majority?
That is pretty much an oxymoron, you're asking why do the people who know you understand you and the ones who doesn't know you doesn't understand you.
There are people that get instant recognition just by being themselves, like it is no effort!
Everyone is different, some people appeal to others, some people don't.
When will you start to believe in me? I bet never, just like the majority. There is nothing you cannot resist the popular ideas, unlike me. It always pays to have a strong will for complete independence, and that is something rarely practiced by most. Will you ignore popular ideas or overcome them and believe in yourself?
Listen up and hard Sam.
As long as you keep this bullshit up about trying to be accepted by these "idiots in the world", you will never be accepted, you keep making the same damn desperate plea to be recognized, the "majority" don't take pity to that, they will never accept you that way. Just the same way you described, people become popular simply by being themselves, they don't need to strive for popularity like you, thats why they got recognized, because they did what they liked and was popular for it. You take the path that begs to parody, you'll be ridiculed and made fun of and you'll become the next NG fad, like the guy who who unwillingly revealed that he was looking up Kim Possible hentai or the sad guy who deleted his System 32 file. Is that the kind of popularity you want!?
And even if it is, your fame will die out and it will be forgotten like those others.
I won't believe in you until you work for the right reasons.
Be sure to tell me when you do.
