Does it work?

If not perhaps you should try with a simpler type of class instead then keep building on that. If you need key functionality you can use this class.

Have you been on http://www.20q.net/

I have not before, seems like a good site as well, but I think I'm more impressed by Akinator though. 20q is divided into quite limiting categories, while Akinator often guess right among a huge amount of people with always the same set of questions :)

I do think that A cheats a little though, perhaps by looking up the location of the user's IP for example (he often asked me very early on if the character was Swedish).

That loop is in the class body, it should be in one of the functions. Also, I don't think push() with no arguments does anything at all, but I'm not sure.

You have defined your class in key.as, but you're trying to instantiate a class with the name Key.

You would also need to do key.keyInt(stage).

But just almost, they must have a huge database with answers as most characters have been played a couple thousands of times. Still, it's really clever use of that data.

Sorry for the delay with the new games! NG modified the HTML source code which I use with a script tool when adding to avoid too much manual work, now it's fixed though :)

I explain this in my latest news post, I'm also asking for improvement suggestions for the site, so all of you should head over and throw in your two cents :D

Sorry, I don't think we can let this slip, your submissions doesn't really show how well you can handle a complete project on your own. The theme is also not the slightest original, perhaps there is even some other madness collab running on the forums now that you can join instead.

I don't know why but you seem to ignore the posts who actually answer your question.

To sum up what has already been said:
- It is not possible to execute AS stored in a string variable with any native function
- There are however libraries for this, interpreters, which seems to work to some extent

If you know what your code will do at compile time (i.e. it will not change during runtime) use functions, as mentioned in the very first reply.

It's an interesting "twist" for a collab, I'll give you that, but unfortunately you don't meet the requirements for starting it yet.

No solo submission with 3.5 score, and not a very original theme. That much is true, but the rules are there mostly to make sure the organizer actually have what it takes so that people don't make parts for a collab that never even had a chance of being completed.

HelloLilly is basically as close as she can be to fulfill the requirements without actually doing so, this far the collab seems well organized, and with so many people already in it I can't see any reason to lock.

I started out with Actionscript (Flash), and I would say that it's probably a good language for a novice programmer: There are loads of tutorials out there (although I would recommend books if you can afford them), you can get a graphic output on the screen faster and easier than many other languages and you don't need to worry so much about memory handling as in for example C++. The biggest downside I would say is that the Flash IDE costs quite a lot, there are free alternatives like FlashDevelop, but none of them are good tools for working with graphics compared with Flash (FD is still my favorite though).

There is an option to recommend submissions for collections, if enough people use that on yours they should see it, so ask your friends for help :) PM'ing admins should be the last resort in this case, if it does come to that though I think Wade would be most appropriate one to contact.

As long as it's within a reasonable amount of time late I don't think it would be denied getting into the collection, but the chances of an admin seeing it will probably be low after today.
