I might have made the clouds too many colours... I also think the clouds are too much like blobby/hard edged splatters

A themed drawing I started yesterday thinking about how ancient civilizations might explain rain, and the idea I liked the most is that the rain is tears from the sun, so here's what I started

Just felt like drawing my characters

I was thinking of removing some stuff from the background strategically but I have no idea what I should remove or relocate or if it's a good idea at all

And actually we are working on being more outlandish with our wardrobe, like wearing space suits, these outfits and such for our coming shows haha

At the moment the poster is at about 70%

Well, actuslly in a fit of laziness I traced me and my bandmates, and the guy in front is me so yay for looking like 2-D!

In regards to detail, it's just the steps I'm taking, first I did the simple spaceships, then I did simple shading of our bodies, then I added clothes to me, and such, probably the only finished part is my helmet haha

Here's a poster for my band I'm working on, you can't really tell what it's all about, but just think of a Stalin propaganda and it might be clearer

Yeah, I didn't even want to do it at first but my friends made it a competition which made it worth trying (I lost though)

Your stuff is creepy in a completely different way than mine can be creepy, it's like Flapjack/Ren & Stimpy and Adventure Time ... the unholy union!

Use some references to get an idea of how your character carries himself, what he'd wear, like the lab coat mentioned, how old he'd be and add dimension, maybe the spout is more like where his mouth would be instead of his ear.

And your Mr. Teapot needs to meet my tv-headed character, Pierrot ;D

I dunno, it looks like someone ate a lot of peas and drank green booze on St. Patty's day and had a hard time cleaning it up...

It looks like there was definition and you removed most of it, which can work, but doesn't in this instance, in my opinion.

Yeaaaaah, in regards to this, I seriously can barely tell what's going on, I know impressionists weren't very detail oriented but this is too vague in my opinion

Here's our band logo, this one I modified a bit but the design is the same, it's only the colours that I played with.

I almost want to attribute it to the noticeable dwindling in art forum activity, or maybe it's something circumstantial and I am not aware of the circumstances.
