Doesn't make sense.
I think this won't make much sense but I've noticed for me that any skills I attain through the tablet transfer to my pen and pencil work but not really the other way around so I could see how you'd be that way haha

Any kind of kind words thrown my way from you are much appreciated, thanks dude
and yeah I don't really joke much hehe, I'm not really a funny guy except in my own mind
I draw better with pencils though, I think, my tablet is a huge crutch or something
My tablet is a 5 year old Bamboo Fun, and it works on the other programs, both in sensitivity and general functionality. I tried seeing if it was my tablet, reinstalling, uninstalling, resetting drivers and preferences, but it doesn't make a difference in regards to SAI.
Oh, naw I meant with the regular layers not the pen ones, thanks anyway.

It's a pain in the ass, mostly.
Pressure tool? I tried a google search on that too, couldn't find anything just said each tool has a pressure setting, screen shot maybe?
I tried SAI today to discover pressure sensitivity isn't working, it works in flash and in photoshop, but not in SAI, tried the solutions found through google searching but none of them worked thusfar, just wondering if you guys have had this problem and how did you fix it?
Reminds me of the Chesire Cat from American McGee's Alice.
Your overall style reminds me a lot of Dr. Seuss, which is pretty interesting, I'd like to see sketches on paper and works in progress.
You draw well, keep drawing maybe. I like Samus the best MWUAHAHAHA
A thread where I can actually drop good information!
Having made logos for a bunch of small businesses as well as my band's I can tell you the three best things about a good logo is that it's:
Recognizeable at any size
It's simple
It gets a point across
That logo would probably work actually, if you cut the text and just had the fine gentleman.
Puns are never bad
Pretty good! I bet your skills come in handy
Her right side from the shoulder to to her rib cage needs a little work, the part of her arm pushed is folded so awkwardly, this is the thing that is bothering me the most about the thing, looking pretty good otherwise.
Pffft your drawing has me doing fan art of Tom from Toonami (the fat version of him) just because it made me all nostalgic. So thanks for that.
I'm also watching the last season og Yu Yu Hakusho since they never showed it on Toonami to my knowledge.
I'd like to see some clay and paint added to the toy or some interesting shots of the toy which in a way delivers more than "pictures of my new toy" vibes.

This kind of thing is going to happen, you just need to get over it.
Yeah, this is pretty much how it is, especially if you're like me and don't really show any growth, people will get tired of telling you the same things, so, listen to the advice and post improving art and people will comment more.
People also enjoy works in progress.

Also, is the music video online anywhere yet?
I'll probably put up our set on our youtube account and no, the video is being done by some fresh from college film makers, who's got some big-shot editor doing the editing so I'd say maybe mid June it'll be up maybe a bit earlier, they barely finished filming friday I think
Well it's common practice for artists to copy famous works over and over, and for people to just copy or emulate artists they love, a lot of what my "style" is is just an amalgamation of various artists I love.
I'd like to see more, and even more specifically, I'd like to see the video cover thingy
The scavenging inventor Vexon. I kinda didn't do a good job on the body.
That character design reminds me a lot of Katra or however it's spelled from Gundam Wing and other older (read better) anime. It's pretty cool is what I mean, not implying copy-cat-ism.
Thanks, I like drawing him haven't really done it much lately though
Here's something I did just now without lifting my pencil
I dunno, my old highschool film teacher is pushing me to pursue music despite saying how hard and how much of a gamble it is, but then it turned out it was one of his many dreams as a youth and he just values following what you love over doing what gets you dinner every night.
What kind of design does your brother do Lux?

I'd say 95% of the artists in the portal don't have any training, don't plan on doing it for a living and don't do art to make statements or anything, more like they do it because it's fun or funny.
But I get your point. You're not wrong, but I frankly, don't check up on your thread because my mind doesn't notice the subtle differences in your stuff. Maybe show off different expressions?

I was actually going to school for art, and worked as a graphic designer and realized somethings: As a graphic designer you can only really design things for offices (business cards, flyers, letterheads and stuff) things for new business' or general promotion (ads, logos,) and... well banners, movie posters and such. The market is REALLY saturated (why I got laid off) because of the accessibility of the tools for pre-print and even the how-to's. I never went to college to study graphic design but from the little I learned in Highschool I was working with people who had 5 to 40 years of experience and I was not far behind from what was expected of these veterans.
Now in terms of art, college can and will teach you some pretty useful things like technique and history, (not that western America has any real good art schools we only have like two), but towards the end, depending on what you're trying to be what really matters is your portfolio and I'd say like graphic design art in general is a saturated market. I mean look at the word "artist" a hundred or more years ago it meant someone who mastered an art as a profession and these people could sculpt, paint and what have you. Now, "artist" means "I torrented photoshop and sai and have a tablet".
I don't think I answered anything, just ranted.
Haha this kind of reminds me of my band, after we got a bunch of songs we sat down and decided to make every song connect into this large story, with some short stories, comics and animation to supplement them.
This is a cool idea, I think the music needs better mastering and the comics could use stronger art but it's pretty nifty.
