Like holding the analog stick in one direction and pressing A at the right time?
Beat the game with my girlfriend now and I currently grab all the Tempo Trophies and Lum Medals. They serve no real purpose but they make you play the levels in very different ways and I only now realize how ingenious the level design is. I fear the day this game starts to bore me. Ubisoft better makes a sequel in time.
It has been stated multiple times but I'll just write it again:
You did not provide anything to spark curiosity in potential animators. Do you have any artwork / character sheets / storyboards? Show some of them so we know what we are getting ourselves into. If you can't provide anything graspable except words nearly every animator who happens to stumple into this thread will bother to even pm you and ask for details.
Smash a pot next to him. You will laugh.
Not as long as there is a sonic fanboy to milk.
@azabazacaza:
Nah, I just liked the game so much I want to do several animations in its style.
@LightningLion:
I see you used both cel-shading and gradients for shadows. Maybe you should settle for one of those. Cel-shaded frame by frame takes more time of course but looks better in the end.
Why are Raymans angry eyes brown?
Robo Geisha. Watch it.
Try the "Tales of Character Archtypes" series of games.
You should probably seperate your character similar to this:
head
eyes
pupils
mouth
body
arm 1
arm 2 (if not mirrored arm 1)
leg 1
leg 2 (see arm 2)
etc
Don't forget to name the symbols something consistent like "(character name) arm 1" and put everything into a "(character name)" folder so your library isn't a mess.
You should probably show some artwork / concept art for the show because words only won't get many people interested. If I was looking for something like this I would be curious to see the visual style I'd have to work with.
Releasing some pictures won't spoil the series so you loose nothing.
Well I thought Rap music is supposed to be comedy. Are you telling me these guys are serious now?
Another thing just came into my mind: EXPLOSIONS.
May fall under "fire" tho
A Link to the Past actually makes sense now. In that timeline Ganondorf defeated Link and Zelda in Ocarina of Time and gained access to the unified Triforce (as told in the beginning of a Link to the Past).
You should add fire and water to that list.
@OutcastLabs:
I dunno if Betilla would be that happy.. on the other hand she decided to dress with 65% less cloth.
I agree with LightningLion, the camera movement could be a lil bit more calm but the character movement looks great.
@LightningLion:
I'm sure the faded colors in your backgrounds will complement your flash-drawn characters well.

I spent the last days drawing Globox' arms and body in different positions:
GloboxLoop
I also finished Raymans and the Teensies parts in my short but I wont throw every update into my dump. I'm only missing Betilla, Globox' dance and the backgrounds now but I'll probably take a break over christmas.
How about tattooing a dick on their foreheads instead.
Every game developer ever will move to motion controls in the near future. /sarcasm
Also the Sony motion control is called Playstation Wii, I also refer to it as "the giant anal bead controller"
I remember turning the snes off when a fat pedophile came spinning from the skies and made me say "fuzzy pickles".

Can't wait to see that animated fbf!

Thats a good point, I (hopefully) fixed it: Rayman Loop

Pretty smooth fbf. I can already imagine how it'll look like when you're done. I assume it's that part in The Precipice where Rayman goes down that canyon?

Yeah details like these go without saying, the orange animatic parts are just not split up into symbols yet. Globox' wobbling will be alot smoother in the end too.

That's what I was thinking too, it just takes awhile to find sound effects or rippable material with clean voices and no background noise. It would definitely increase the impact of that scene.
Here's what I was able to throw together in a day: Work in progress
Orange stuff = yet to be drawn/animated and I still have to adjust the pace in some spots.

Here's a little test animation.
I also have some crap on deviantart.
Hey guys,
I recently storyboarded an independent Rayman Origins animation (in the same 2D style as the game) and just started drawing the characters, so I may use the graphics I create to make a short for this collab as well!

Problem solved.
Skyrim is specifically tailored to be popular with mainstream players who don't really care for good writing or likeable realistic characters. They focused all their energy on the game world itself instead of having an interesting plot and characters you could care for.
Fallout: New Vegas had all that and Obsidian tried their best to make the world look alive with that shitty engine, thats why I still consider F:NV a superior open-world game to Skyrim. Just look at all the good things Obsidian introduced, like the Companion Wheel. Did Bethesda bother to implement a similar function into Skyrim? Nope, control your 1-dimensional companions through annoying dialogue again! Faction armor disguising? Don't be silly! The list goes on.
I would definitely enjoy Skyrim, but I would constantly nag about missing things and shortcomings in the writing department.

I should have made my dislike for Second Life more clear.
Whoa dude forget those 15 fps and push it up to 24. You can adjust the speed of the squiggling in the movieclip/graphic itself by putting the "squiggle" frames on ones or on twos (1 frame taking the space of 2 frames) depending on what you prefer.
I want Stamper as a mount then.
